Great success!
OK, I have two things I'm rather proud of today.
The first is that I've finally lost enough weight to be able to successfully hold a shoulderstand yoga position! I couldn't support it before, partially because I hold so much of my weight in my legs.
Second is I've cut my mile down by quite a bit! When I first started running, I'd push myself really hard to make a mile in 13 minutes. Now when I go at a moderate pace, I'll finish in 12. If I go a bit faster, 11:30. Found out yesterday when I push myself the way I used to, it's down to 10:30!! WHOOHOO!!
Keep up the good work!
The shoulderstand position is really tough, hopefully i will be able to hold it in a couple of months.
More power to you!![]()
Top stuff!
I don't really know what a shoulder stand yoga position is but it sounds like something you've been wanting to do for a while!
I can appreciate the minutes off in running... you must have worked hard and you deserve the results! next up... under 10 minutes!
If I get under ten minutes, I'll be crying from happiness right in the gym. I haven't ran under 10 in at least 10 years!
Awesome work! I'm really excited for you. You can do it! Just make sure you don't push yourself too hard. Nothing would be worse than getting a stress fracture or some other kind of injury that will set your progress back. Slow and steady wins the race. :)
Well, you know what I mean... Way to go though. :)
Well done! I also enjoy doing the plough without so many 'love handles' hanging down over my face!
Any advice on how to work up to the table? I am not sure if it is strength, flexibility or weight that is holding me back.. this is the one that you push self up with arms from the floor into backbend-like table. Thanks!!
I'd say it's mostly flexibility, a tad strength but not much. My back suuucks, so it took me awhile to get used to this pose, but yeah, it was all in getting myself more flexible.
