Green Smoothies

Quote  |  Reply

I’m not sure if anyone has posted anything in the past about these or not, but they are fabulous!

Green Smoothies are made from blending spinach and fruits and veggies together. As someone who wouldn’t touch spinach if it was the last thing in my fridge, you can trust me when I say you can’t even taste the spinach. It tastes like a fruit smoothie, and is SO good for you! You can blend pretty much anything with the spinach you like- the key though, is to have the smoothie remain its green color (my husband affectionately calls them “Goblin Vomits” lol) One combination I love is spinach, a few grapes, half of a black plum, half of a peach, half of a kiwi, and a whole banana with a little water so it’s not super thick.

While they aren’t specifically designed to be a meal replacement, I’m full after I have one and do use it as a replacement, usually for breakfast. Let’s face it, it’s basically like eating a huge fruit salad!

Since I’ve started drinking them everyday, they’ve contributed greatly to my weight loss, my energy levels are way up, my iron is good, and I just feel great overall from all the good stuff.

They detox your body, so when you start to drink them don’t be surprised if you don’t feel overly well after about a week… don’t worry, after your body becomes accustom to all the new good stuff it’s getting, you feel fantastic! ;) Believe it or not, you’ll even start to crave good, natural things as snacks as opposed to junkfood.
