Green Tea Metabolism Pills?

Quote  |  Reply

Hello, me and my weight loss buddy were wondering if green tea pills (the ones to boost metabolism and such) would they be bad for a 14 & 15 year old? =P

Why not just drink green tea? It's natural, and I'd trust it over pills any day.

Would green tea like, have the same effect. Wow, I sound like a dorkk. =D

I would suggest asking a Dr. Generally, ppl advise against teenagers taking any type of diet pills.

But, as skinnyogi says- green tea is natural and yummy- try drinking some!

I dont think a pill with JUST green tea would be the best idea, you are just as likely to get one full of caffine.

I take a daily weight loss vitimin from Wal-mart that has EGCG (the part of green tea that helps your metabolism) and it seems to make me feel better without a buzz and then let down of something with caffine

I'd take the tea over a pill any day, I love my daily 3 cups of green tea
the pills don't work like advertisers want people to believe. I know. I have tried every type of green tea pill there is.  Not only that, but in most cases, you have to be over eighteen to purchase them (thats how it is at walmart at least). Hmmm....now, if there was NOTHING but green tea in the pills, why wouldn't they let younger people buy them....sounds kinda suspicious to me. just something to think about.

Can I get some names of green tea.  I took the green tea pills for a few days, but got scarred as most of these "pills" are not approved by the FDA.  I would much rather try the tea!

Has anyone tried that Alli?  I am scarred to try it, though it sounds like it may work.  It is expensive too.
