I started taking Hydroxycut (which contains green tea) a little over a
month ago - when I first started taking them, I noticed that my heart
rate was 10-15 beats/min higher than usual. A few weeks ago, I was
comparing Hydroxycut to Green Tea pills - and noticed they contained
the same ingredients, only the Green Tea you took less of, and was
considerably cheaper. So, I got the Green Tea pills - and have been
taking them for about 2 weeks now. I haven't really noticed a change,
probably because I was taking Hydroxycut before. I think that it is the
natural caffiene in the tea that raises your heart rate, which I guess
essentially is the "fat burning" (the higher the heart rate, the more
calories burnt - right?). Once I finish off this bottle, I think I am
going to call it quits with the diet pills, it's so much healthier to
just do it the all natural way. Also, I haven't noticed change enough that
persuades me that  they actually do anything. I hope this helped
you out a little bit. If you want to try them out, Wal-Mart sells them
for pretty cheap. Be careful though, I've had a few friends who got
addicted to diet pills, and become totally dependant on them.
thanks for the advice. i really want to do this the healthy way it just seems like my matabolism is really slow or something. i don't know maybe i'm just really impatient. the green tea pills looks like the healthiest way to give me a boost. i'm still not sure what to do.
I started taking the Green Tea pills....and I didn't notice that it helped at all--if you read the label, it points out that it MAY help weight loss combined with a healthy diet and exercise...so really, it's the lifestyle that's working, not the pill. That's my opinion...tried it, didn't help, it was too expensive and most people tend to gain the weight back once they go off the pill. So...yeah.
You could try just drinking two or three cups of green tea per day, and see if that helps.  At least you would know it didn't contain any weird chemicals.
yeah i hate tea so that really isn't an option...oh well i guess that whole thing is out. i'm losing okay so i guess i'll just stick with this...i'm just gettting impatient. i want to be skinny already!!!
A lady a a healthe food store told me that you have to drink 10 glassed of green tea to have any benefit.  and that the green tea in pill form are hard for the body to absorb and suggested I get the gel caps, which are supposedly faster and easier to absorb.  I bought somw but Haven't started taking them yet.  I'll let you know.

I bought some yesterday at walmart and took some.  I don't notice much more in the way of energy or heart rate or anything, but i DO notice that my appetite is curbed.  I took one before lunch earlier and I am so much fuller now than I usually am...and its 2 hours since I ate.  Mine are the ones that were mentioned from wal-mart, in gelcap form.  I'll try to keep it updated as to if they work.

My question about green pills is why would they work like the tea?
Even if they don't do anything, it was only like 4 dollars wasted.  Better than spending 4 dollars on a mcdonalds value meal, right?  As I said, can't say anything for the weight loss properties, but it is suppressing the appetite.
LOL true. As for suppressing the appetite green tea makes me so sick it works great as one.
If you think your metabolism is really slow, why don't you get checked out by a doctor? You could have issues with your thyroid.
Who me?  I don't think my metabolism is slow...I'm just looking to see if there's a harmless way to get a little bit more energy.  That's why I don't care if it doesn't work.  I don't NEED to take them, just curious to see if they DO work.  As I said, 4 bucks wasted...that's 4 dollars that I just earned sitting on my butt here at work typing up some of these responses, haha.
I have tried drinking green tea and have also tried the gel caps, and the pills.  They all make me sick to my stomach for some reason. So if you do take some... for whatever reason... try having some food in your stomach to see how it goes.

Or just drink coffee :)
