I was curious if anyone added anything to their green tea or do you usually drink it with water only..........
A packet of stevia to sweeten it, and sometimes some lemon slices.

straight up...on the rocks
I recently tried Atai - Moroccan green tea - Yummy! It is green tea brewed with fresh mint and sugar. They used tea leaves and fresh mint, but I cheat and use a drop of peppermint oil and stevia (or you could use peppermint extract and artificial sweetener). The peppermint also helps with digestion, so try a cup after your Thanksgiving dinner!
Is stevia like splenda???
just water but not boiling since it makes it too bitter I think. When the temperature is about 80degrees Celsius it's perfect! :)
I drink mine with two packets of pink sweet n low ...mmmmmm
just water, hot or cold.
I add lemon juice :)
Stevia is a plant. Used as a sweetener, it has 0 calories and is all natural. I get mine at the supermarket (box of 100 1g powder packets) and grow it in my herb garden in the summer. I like it 'cause artificial chemical sweeteners like Equal tend to give me headaches.
Gotta love it!

Just to clafiry. Stevia technically is not 0 calorie. Just like splenda, etc they add stuff for bulkiness so technically it's 4 calories per serving. They can put 0 since it's under 5 calories.
When I drink green tea I usually just steep it in hot water - I tend to like the fruity flavors of green tea though which helps it not taste so BLAH - These days though I just take Green Tea Extract in pill form and drink a lot of coffee! As a matter of fact, I think I ingested too much caffeine this morning because I am feeling a bit LOOPY at the moment! I had like 2 cups of coffee, pretty much a whole sugar free/calorie free very potent energy drink & a green tea pill! ha ha! WOOOOOO!
I'm drinking a hot cup of green tea right now! Nothing in it, but it would be yummy with some honey.
2 splendas and ice.
Plain, but I buy honey, lemon, chi flavors.
I can't drink it straight like that. I have a green tea capsule with a full glass of water twice daily.
a teaspoon of honey
hot water only..
but there is so many different kinds of green tea!!
Gen mai cha -- the roasted rice green tea is just divine. That is my staple.. although i have to say different brands tastes different.. I have had ones where it tasted like muddy water blech.
Blueberry green tea.... Kyoto cherry blossum green tea.. vanilla green tea... I even have organic long island strawberry green tea.

So do you get the same health benefits from the pill form as actually drinking the tea?
