grilled sandwich ideas pleasee!!!!
Heyy!!! i would like some ideas for grilled sandwiches... I usually have a grilled cheese or banana with honey/peanut butter sandwich but i am getting a bit bored of them so i need some new ideas.have you got any recipes for grilled sandwiches, preferably sweet, around 300-400kcal...
thanks x x x!
Take two slices of bread. Spread cream cheese on one and jam on the other. Sandwich together, dip into eggs and fry (like french toast). Drizzle with pureed berries.
mozarella, pesto and tomato, grilled on ciabatta :)
get some brie cheese or some guierre (spelled wrong) and put it on two slced of french bread with some apples sliced thin in between. You could also do a bacon sandwich with some honey or maple syrup. I woud also try turkey, swiss and ham with raspberry preserves. These may sound strange but i guarantee the flavors work together.
EDIT: Forgive me, it's too early. Hahaha. Avocado, greek yoghurt, and hummus grilled together is very nice.
take 2 thick slices of banana bread.....add a banana and cottage cheese and peanut butter...and toast in a sandwich press...........(sprinkles can be added too)
hey!!!! thank you very much for your replies!!! i think i am trying the avocado and greek yogurt one tonight... what type of bread do you recommend with that one btw?? i was thinking of whole wheat slice...
Whole wheat works. But anything good and grainy, really. Seeded is nice too.
i ve just had one with avocado, hummus, smoked turkey and tomatoes! it was delicious!!! mmmm!!!

My favorite is avocado, tomato slices, and cheddar cheese on a dark bread (like rye).
Trader Joe's makes these flaxmeal wraps, and I like taking tuna fish and feta cheese with spinach and feta cheese. You wrap up the fillings and grill it. Delicous!
Also, grilled turkey and cheddar with tomatos on whole grain bread, grilled ham and swiss with peppers on whole grain.
I was wondering, cos our family have a small toastie maker thing in our house, and i dont want cheese, but what if I sliced some apple between some bread with some cinnamon for flavouring and put it in the toastie maker? would it like break or would the apples be grilledlike the cheese normally would? it just sounds nice, and then maybe add honey afterwards? x
i was thinking of doing the exact same thing!!! i usually slice some banana between bread with some cinnamon, put it in this small toast maker we ve got , and then remove it, open it up and add some honey...
i think it will work with apple too... i am just not sure if they are going to be cooked enough, i mean become soft like in an apple pie...
we should try it and see what happens! let me know if you try it! x
annamaria: yeah im defo going to try it soon :) maybe youd have to fry the apple first for a few seconds to soften it so its more mushy...but i hope it works=] cos it sounds yummy lol xxx
