If you had to go to the grocery store, and only had $20, What foods would you buy to last you 3 days?
- naturalia french vanilla yogurt
- quaker instant wildberry medley high-fiber oatmeal
- frozen raspberries
- whole grain bread
- low-fat cheese
- baby carrots
- baby spinach
that should be about $20 i think? i dunno, i never pay when i shop because my mother does, and i don't look at the bill.
If it's just for dinner, I'd buy stuff to make chili: tomatoes, beans, lean beef or turkey and whole wheat rolls.
* celery sticks
* bananas
* 3 bottles of lipton green tea
* blueberries
haha :)
cans of tuna
bag of apples
a few veggies
nut butter
bread(been there, done that;)
cereal fruit (mangos, apples, plumes, blueberries) peanut butter crackers soup cans water tea
vodka, cranberry juice, and aspirin in case i run out of vodka by the 3rd day. hahaha totally kidding.
i'd buy potatoes, milk, cereal, spaghetti & sauce, and gum
Maybe some salad fixings.
bulgur / whole grain bread
eggs / turkey
fresh and frozen veggies

Extremely wise choices w/ just 21 bucks, Nicely Balanced.
2 # dried black beans, 2 # brown rice, an onion, carrots, 2 heads broccoli, 3 apples, 2 packages tofu, 1 # rolled oats, 1 package tortillas, 1 avocado, and if there was enough money left: salsa :)
We have, if we're lucky, about seven to ten dollars a week (maybe two weeks out of the month) to spend on groceries and gas.
Not healthy at all, but staples are Ramen, canned soup, rice, a box of cereal, bread, and a gallon of milk. If we have all of those things in our cabinets and have money to spend on groceries, we'll get fresh produce that's on sale, sometimes luncheon meat or eggs, or bags of frozen vegetables.
Maaaan, I can not wait until I get a job that does more than keep me on call..
red kidney beans canned (.50c)
rice (about 1.25)
skim milk (1/2 gal as its cheaper) ($2? not sure of price)
1lb of bannas (.55)

Corn or flour Tortillas (.98 - $2.00)
Eggs ($1.25)
Bag of apples/Oranges ($3.00)Lettuce ($1.50)
