Gross Halloween Candy
Anybody remember those disgusting black and orange wrapped peanut butter candy thingies?
When my sister and I were younger we'd get so grossed out when we got those trick-or-treating...
What Halloween candy do you think is yucky?
Reason: Move to Foods Forum
The only "Halloween candy" I like is candy corn. Nothing but sugar and cornstarch but I swear I can get high off that stuff :]
But not much candy-giving goes on around my neighborhood, so I haven't experienced that much gross candy.
whoppers...they are so gross
dots. gross- they are hard and no flavor
I have never liked butterfinges. I just think they are tastless and not fun. I always dug them out of my pillow case after trick or treating and passed them straight over to my mother, who adores them lol. I also hated those stupid bit-o-honey garbage they call candy haha. Oh! Heath bars are nasty as well lol
So my roommate and I were hanging out at this park today and we started to reminisce about being children and the candy we got for Halloween. We both came to the conclusion that caramel apple pops are incredible and sought out to purchase some tonight while on our super long grocery adventure tonight. Too bad Super Fresh DID NOT CARRY THEM!! Needless to say her and I were pretty upset. It's okay though they had Edy's ice cream buy one get one free so for under 9 bucks we did get 4 containers of ice cream :-)
It's fun to see everyone's responses ![]()
So interesting to see that we all have different ideas of what's good & what's nasty. Like another poster said, I'm surprised to see all the hatin' on candy corn, but to each their own (candy)...lol
caramel covered sour apple suckers---oooh, Kortlyn you are an evil, evil girl! Now i want them!
*smacks lips, drools a lil on keyboard*
Kawd11 good luck finding them! If you do and live in Philadelphia hook a sister up lol! Yeah you have no idea how badly my roomie and I wanted these and did not find them at the store! Granted we only went to one store because we were not that obsessed with them, but still it was sad. I'm sure if we hit up Target we shall succeed!
Any one else do this trick? The trick is you know you are not going to have ton of trick or treaters considering the location of your house, so you purchase the really good candy so you have all the left overs? Lol that's what we're planning on doing :-).
Sadly, no. Candy is not currently in my diet plan. Some day, if/when I hit maintenance, I intend to occasionally treat myself to a Reese's peanut butter cup. ![]()

Chew Man Chew! This stuff was so gross, tasted like pencil erasers.
Circus peanuts are equally disgusting...
But the worst has got to be Necco candy. http://www.necco.com/OurProducts/Default.asp
Any other Bostonians out there who hate that stuff as much as me?? I never understood the fascination some people have with it.. all their candy was like eating chalk.
The random clear wrapped hard candies that were usually given by that one odd house on the block, that clearly didnt really kids dont want to eat cough drop looking candies.
Other than that personally I dont like Skittles, mary janes and that one random bag of "kiddie mix" with jaw breakers and gum and smarties! yuck!

I love all candies, sweets and desserts. The problem is not their taste, because i think that most candies like kisses, fig-bars, snicker bars and chocolate malted-balls taste real good, the big problem is that they are too addictive, like a drug and of course their calories
.
