Startswithx, never heard of it... so the only way to avoid this is to cut down on cabbage?? I recently had to replace most of my green vegetables (which was a lot) with cabbage - trying to save money.
And thank goodness I can't stand garlic at least...
I thought your urine was suppose to smell bad. But maybe that was asparagus.
That happens to me when I binge on cheerios. I can smell it for days.

hey mosco -- if you are replacing your GREEN vegetables with cabbage: are you sure you are getting enough nutrients? not sure of the nutritional value of cabbage, but surely it can't be as great as kale, spinach, carrots (colorful veggies)????

When I Fly, yeah, I noticed that about asparagus and urine too... but this stuff, I can smell on my SKIN!! :( .... and only on my skin, surprisingly
glad to hear you aren't replacing all of them. :-) that smell must be HELL on dating!! :-) seems like you would want to cut out eating it to excess for that reason alone. ha!

You must have eaten a boatload of cabbage! I know if you eat a lot of garlic, your skin will smell like garlic, and if you eat too many carrots your skin will turn orange. Instead of cabbage, eat other vegetables in that family, like broccoli and brussels sprouts and collard greens.
The key word to everything is MODERATION. Eating anything in excess reinforces bad eating habits.
Claire, I still eat the vegetable you mentioned, but I introduced more cabbage into my diet than I'm used to eating.
To give you an idea of how much cabbage I was actually consuming, it was probably about 1.5 large heads (a day), or 2 medium heads. But I did cut down on cabbage a bit since starting this thread... so the smell isn't so bad now... but it's annoying that I had to do that just to avoid smelling bad =(.
