Ok lets try this again.  Time to get serious!  Starting today, I'm going to weigh in every friday until December 4th, in hopes of motivating myself to loose 10 pounds.  By my calculations, thats only 1 pound a week, so I think I can do it!

Feel free to join in if you want to try to do this together with your own goal!

Count me in too.  Was on a roll for a while then about a month ago I went off my eating plan and am back up a few pounds.  Now that I am starting again I am so hungry....need some good tasty things to eat that are not broccoli.

I hate that feeling. I'm doing the same thing with food, I feel so hungry. So so hungry, even though I'm eating well. Curbing my appetite is always the hardest part of dieting!

I am in for weight in on Fridays. I been trying for a while to get rid of ten pounds with no success maybe jumping on the scale on fridays, before the weekend begins will motivate me to stay off the food on the weekend.

 

I am in for weighing in on Fridays too! I lost my motivation back about a month ago, but as of this morning I restarted. I ran 2 miles before work and I feel wonderful (a little sore though) Smile

My ultimate goal is to lose this weight by dec 31...but dec 4 can be a mini goal for me. I'm 5'8" and want to get from 153 down to 132

Yes, there are so many people aiming too high for December! All of us here are being rational. I'm AIMING FOR 115- my weight is coming off slowly and I have like 4 or 5 days of big parties and such wher eI could mes up- I'm trying to practic eintuitive eating.

So instead of what CC tels me- that i can reach 110 by mid-november I will try for 115 by early December and hopeuflly 110 by New Years.

Anyone have any ideas what to do on vacation? Lots of veggies and wtaer and try to exercise and intuitive eating, I guess?

There are quite a few people aiming way too high for weight loss goals. I know 10lbs in 2.5 months is a biggie, but it's not as bad as 15 to 20 lbs in that time. Sure it'll be hard, but if we all make healthy choices, I think it's attainable, for the most part.

Happy October everyone!  So tomorrow is our first weigh in!  Everyone give it that extra push tonight!  I am going to need some extra motivation.... I work for United Way, and right now is our busiest time.  I have to attend all sorts of BBQ's and dinners that our supporters like to hold for us!  This is going to be tough.  Any ideas on how I can work around this?  I can't not eat at the BBQ's, that would be rude of me, and I have to show my support for their efforts.

I'll share one I was just told by a friend I met here on CC! She lost 175lbs or so from doing this, and of course, making big changes to her eating lifestyle!

 

Get something you like to eat. Semi healthy or really healthy (for me it was cereal, I'm a cereal addict!)

Divide the cereal into servings from the box itself and put it into little baggies. Label them, and say how much calories, fat, and fiber are on them.

I eat 2 cups worth of whatever cereal I decided to eat every morning (without milk) and eat either fruits the same way or some more cereal the same way for lunch. Then I just eat my normal dinner (I usually eat a small dinner anyway). Go me. It's been working!

SW: 157 (as of Last Friday anyway)

GW: 146

CW: 155.4

Weight Lost: 1.6lbs

 

I'm hoping by next week to be at 153 or so.
