Strategy: I regained some weight after taking time off to finish up grad school and start a new job. I'm tired of it and ready to start again! I'm going to stick to the strategy that helped me lose 45 lbs last year:

I will eat 1500 calories a day and exercise 4-6 times per week. My exercise routine will include 30-45 minutes of cardio and 20-30 minutes of strength training. I will have one day a week where I will count calories but won't worry about going over my calorie limit. I've found in the past that this really helps my body in that I don't feel like I'm constantly depriving myself of food that I like and/or want. Good luck everyone!

Yay! Down 1 lb since last week and also 3.2 lbs since the start of the group!! You're doing really well armandleg, you'll be at 204 in no time! Great job nancster and everyone else too!!! I'm going to do my weight in on Monday since my last post was on Monday.  I also need to get a good scale.  I use the one in the gym but thats in the middle of the day which I dont really like to do.  I' rather do this in AM when I just got up and didnt eat anything yet )))

Any suggestions for a good sclae btw?? Thank you

No problem cosmogirl82! I bought my digital scale from Target for about $20. It does the trick for me and I also do my weigh ins in the morning.

Another 1.5 lost this week. I'll meet my 10 pound goal next week IF I can get 1.8 pounds off by then. Slow and steady. I guess it's the best sort of weight loss.

I gained A LOT of weight in college from being on the pill and just well... being in college and I worked REALLY hard to lose almost 30 pounds. I detoxed, got a healthy appetite, got a personal trainer, etc. and then went on vacation and went on a downward slope with my new job and not being able to sleep but having to drink more often and I gained 15 pounds. I am miserable and I want to be able to fit back into all my new clothes!

I am up but not as bad as I thought.  While camping I did not count or even really watch my calories and I thought I would do a lot of hiking, but it rained all weekend and I never got to go.  So I was sure I would have gained 10 lbs or more.  I am back to working out every morning, walking in the afternoons and counting my calories.  I want to hit it really hard this week and lose at least 1 lb.   

OK, didn't gain, didn't loose this whole week!  Whatever!  Stats the same:

HELP!!!!

I want to lose a little less than eight pounds...more like seven or six.

HW (this year): 127
CW (as of this morning)
: 121-122
GW (by september...sometime around 1-6)

Exercise: I started biking yesterday- four and a half miles! I really pushed myself and I'm so happy...a bit sore though! I also do at least twenty minutes of stair stepping a day. I also started doing a little weight lifting too. All of this combined is probably 50-60 minutes.

Diet: I'm eating between 1,200-1,400 calories a day, with lots of veggies and fruits. I'd really like to go 'raw' though or, at least, vegan.

Lately, I've been craving one of those Sonic Fried Ice Cream Blasts! Anyone else craving something sweet?

Sorry but I havent been to the gym this week and not sure if i'll get to go there :( so wont be able to weigh myself.

I got a new scale though and on that one, today I was 151 which I know I cant compare to 155 that was in the gym.  I'm going to stick to my home scale now and do check my weight on that.

 

TGIF!!!  Now having to weigh-in on Fridays kinda puts a damper on the wonderful Friday feeling.  But I am still happy it is Friday and I lost 1/2 pound this week so I guess I can not be too upset.

I haven't been weighing myself every week, mostly due to a broken scale, but have been calorie-counting faithfully and exercising more since starting this program 4 weeks ago. Today I went to a drugstore and used of their automatic scales and was thrilled about the results! I'm 27 years old and 5'4.

I actually think I might be able to do it!! This is after going being the same weight for THREE long years and being very sluggish. This program has been great for me, and it's nice to see everyone else in this group making so much progress too. I'm so excited...!

Not bad, down .6 lbs for the week and 3.8 lbs since the group started but I really need to step it up if I'm going to reach my goal!

WHAAAA! Up a pound this week but at least I know why. There was a naughty burger during a lovely meal at an outdoor bbq restaurant. It tasted reallllllly good. Plus I laid off of exercise for two days as my body was telling me to ease up a bit. But now I'm back on the wagon! Don't like stepping on the scale and seeing this up tick.

I got a digital one for home, but when I got on it last week, I was 152.5 while in the gym I was 156 :(.  Now on the home scale I'm 150, hope the gym scale tonight also shows a few lbs less )))))))

Ok, no change in two weeks!  Getting a little frustrated.  These last ten pounds are going to be the end of me!!!
