Feel free to post your weekly stats/progress whatever day you typically weigh in.

Age: 24

Height: 5'5''

SW (Feb 08): 208

SW (15 April 2009): 170

GW by 15 May 2009: 155-165

Strategy: I regained some weight after taking time off to finish up grad school and start a new job. I'm tired of it and ready to start again! I'm going to stick to the strategy that helped me lose 45 lbs last year:

I will eat 1500 calories a day and exercise 4-6 times per week. My exercise routine will include 30-45 minutes of cardio and 20-30 minutes of strength training. I will have one day a week where I will count calories but won't worry about going over my calorie limit. I've found in the past that this really helps my body in that I don't feel like I'm constantly depriving myself of food that I like and/or want. Good luck everyone!

Decided to do a midweek weigh in to make sure I'm on track and HOORAY, I was down 2.6 pounds from MONDAY. I'm back on track having lost that pesky pound that went on last week. Went for tea with my darling hubby yesterday and watched him consume a lovely pain au rasin while I had a diet coke. I was very happy I watched when I stepped on the scale this morning. Highly motivating!

nancster;

Great job!  Don't you just love Diet Coke!

Here's to another successful week!

Weighing in!

SW (group): 181

Last week: 177.2

CW: 176.2

GW by Labor Day: 169-173

Down 1lb from last week! I'm not sure if I'll be able to reach my goal in time but I'm going to keep trying!!

Weigh in #5:

Starting weight (group): 208.5

Last week's weight: 203.92

Today's weight: 202.8

Lost: 1.12

Down a total of 5.7lbs since the start of the group. =) Now I only have roughly 2-3lbs to go. <3 I think I'll at least see a low 201 number by Labor Day, if not 200.5, like I hope to.

Thanks for the encouragement, Denise. I have one small glass of DC a day. Have replaced my nightly martini with the caffeine free variety. Saves me many calories!

I'm down .9 lbs on the week. only 2 lbs to go and the clocks ticking dangerously close to Labor Day!!!! I'll kick myself if I don't make this goal and there's a party tonight with nibbles and supper. YIKES! DANGER DANGER!

Weigh in #6 (Friday before Labor Day):

Last week's weight: 202.8

Today's weight: 201.28

Lost: 1.52

Down a total of 7.22lbs since the start of the group =). If I can somehow lose something like .5lbs between today and Monday, that would be most excellent, lol.

Happy Labor Day. I came within .9 of meeting my goal. Darn it! How about some new goals for next month?

Ultimate Goal 150

I'm going to set a goal of losing 5 lbs by October 1. Hope you're all high and dry!!!

Well, I did not meet my Labor Day goal since I gained ~ 2 lbs since my last weigh in between my TOM and splurging Labor Day weekend. nancster--great job! I would definitely be up for losing AT LEAST 5 lbs by October 1st. Let's do it!

Hi everyone
So Labor Day was yesterday and I'm VERY proud to say I reached my 150lb goal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to the gym on Thursday, got on original scale where I was 156 in beginning of August and saw that I was 150 :):):):):)  I just hope I didnt gain back anything on Sunday and yest b/c I had a big dinner party Sun night and continuation of it yesterday so I know I ate more than I should have.  Oh well, I'll know today when I get to the gym.  I lost 6lb in a month which really isnt that much but since I'm not watching my food fri - sun and go to the gym about 3-4 times a week, I think its super good.

New goal - 145 by end of September.  5lbs is really not a lot but I know myself and doubt it could be more, especially since I got parties every weekend until end of October lolol

Well, only lost a total of 2.5 pounds, but still got closer to the ultimate goal.  I am with you nancster and whsthatlady for the 5 lbs by October.  Schools back in session, so having a good workout schedule will be a lot easier to stick to with my daughter on set schedule as well.  Halloween falls on a Friday this year, would love to have a party to celebrate reaching my goal of 135 lbs!  Thirteen pounds in 8 weeks!  Here we go!

Great job cosmogirl, armandleg & nancster. Whatthatlady, thanks for starting this, we will reach our goals!!!

Have a great week everyone!Laughing

hope you don't mind if i jump in. i've been away from the forums for months, but i'm 14 lbs from my goal, and its the hardest thing ever for me!!! it's driving me nuts.

so as i finish eating the last few bites of this delicious souvlaki, i'm with you on the 5 lbs by october. so my "diet" starts in 60 seconds. in fact, i moved to a new area a couple months ago, and there is a gym  that's less than a 2 minute walk that i plan on joining. does it get better than that?? i'm also packing up every guilty pleasure in the kitchen and bringing it to a friend's house tonight.

so here i go:

Welcome samiaz! Good luck to everyone in this new 5lb challenge. I changed information for our group to update our new goal and used my starting weight as the last day of our last goal--Labor Day. So, here's my first weigh in!

SW: 178.2

CW: 176

Down 2.2 lbs since Monday which I'm SO relieved at. I'm pretty sure I packed on the extra 2 lbs from water retention from my TOM and now that it's over I'm back to "normal". Whatever it was, I'm happy to be back on track and am getting ready to go to the gym! Happy weigh ins to everyone!

Hopefully anyone can jump in here!

Labor day weight - 120

current weight - 119

goal - 112

Oct 1 goal - 115

whsthatlady - I know what you mean about jumping two pounds - I did that last Saturday!  It came off by Monday, but it was very discouraging!

I havent lost anything in the past week :(  Last thursday I was 150 and still same :(.  I did reach  my goal of 150 by Labor Day but this week.. nothing (( Probably b/c it was a long weekend and too much food, or hopefully b/c its almost that time of the month and I'm just not seing any change yet.  I'm doing my weigh in on Thursdays so yest it was still same.

Hopefully next week will be better

Good luck everyone!!!! :)

SW: 201 (stayed the same on Labor Day)

Friday's weight: 200.44

Current weight: 199.08.

Goal weight for October First: 196.

I think this one will be a stretch, though, because my husband comes home in a few days, and I'm sure we will be eating out and eating a lot of food to celebrate. =D

Hi everyone
I'm very upset!!!!! no change for past 2 weeks (((

SW - 150 (Labor Day)

CW - 150 :(:(:(:(:(

GW - 145 (by October 1st) which i HIGHLY DOUBT i'll get to ((

Hope you guys are doing better than me lolol

SW: 201

Last Friday's weight: 199.08

Current weight: 199.56

Goal weight for October First: 196.

I'm actually kind of shocked I've only gained back .5lb this past week. My husband came back on Wednesday, so I think I'm going to try to maintain my weight for a little while and go back to losing, but any additional weight loss will be nice. =) I want to hold steady at 199, at the very least.

Weigh-in #2--

SW: 178.2

CW: 173.8

Down 2.2 lbs (again, weirdly) since last week and 4.4 lbs overall since Labor Day!

cosmogirl82, hang in there!

i thought i did some damage over the past week, but it wasn't so bad. for example i had my first big mac in months. it was very disappointing and not worth it.  i just found out that one of my good friends is on a diet, so that is motivating. a little healthy competition between us. no one else in my circle of friends cares to join. they don't need to anyway.

the cheese and dark chocolate in my fridge is just calling my name, but i will resist.
