Strategy: I regained some weight after taking time off to finish up grad school and start a new job. I'm tired of it and ready to start again! I'm going to stick to the strategy that helped me lose 45 lbs last year:
I will eat 1500 calories a day and exercise 4-6 times per week. My exercise routine will include 30-45 minutes of cardio and 20-30 minutes of strength training. I will have one day a week where I will count calories but won't worry about going over my calorie limit. I've found in the past that this really helps my body in that I don't feel like I'm constantly depriving myself of food that I like and/or want. Good luck everyone!
well... i actually made it to the gym on sat and saw that i lost 1lb :D so i'm sure excited... 4 more to go this month

Down 0.8 lbs since last week and 5.2 lbs overall since Labor Day, and 35 lbs overall since February!! I'm going to try even harder to lose more by 01 October!

I tend to walk about 3.5 miles a day carrying about 10-15 lbs worth of books. I also do a Cardio Salsa DVD (30 minutes of pretty intensive salsa dancing) 3x a week.

Down 0.8 lbs again since last week and 6 lbs since Labor Day (and almost 36lbs since February)!!! I guess that means I met my goal of losing at least 5 lbs by 01 October!! Anyone up for another 5lb goal by November 1st?
For some un-known reason I have stopped all efforts to lose weight. I have been maintaining OK, which is great so at least I am not back at square one. But it is time to get back on the wagon and work hard so I will join you again for 5lbs by November 1. Here is where I am at as of now:
6/16/08: 129lbs
10/1/08: 121lbs
GW (by 11/1/08): 116lbs

I only lost 1 lb in September which actually I probably gained back yesterday b/c I had a HUGE holiday dinner lol. Going to the gym tonigth though to hopefully burn some of it off
So goal is still same - 145 by Nov 1st

Well I did get to the gym on 10/1 and was 151 :(
But went yesterday and was 148.5 :):):):):). I was stuck at 150-151 for like a month.
So goal is still same - 145 by Nov 1st, maybe by some miracle i'll get to it )))))

Weighing in late this week... I'm moving in a week and am also taking two classes which are taking up a TON of my time.

Well, since moving into a new apartment and getting through a midterm, paper, and presentation due in the last two weeks, I haven't been keeping up with this as well as I wanted. But, it's 03 November so I wanted to post my progress:

CW: 167.4 (03 November)
I was pretty close to meeting my goal! 4.8 lbs lost in October for a total of 40.6 lbs lost since starting this whole thing in February!
I know the holidays are coming up but if we stick together we CAN still lose weight!! Who's up for another 5 lbs by December 1st?

I lost 2lb this week :) Making a total of 24lb lost :)
I'm back for the 5lbs by December 1st. =) I've gained some since last participating (took nearly a month off and lost most of what I gained from that month off last month, now looking to get completely back on the wagon).
Starting Weight (03 Nov): 203.6lbs
Goal Weight (01 Dec): 198.6lbs
And this will put me back to where I was at prior to taking off from CC for about a month. =)
