Group for teens that want to lose 20+ lbs by Summer

Quote  |  Reply

So I really need to get on the stick. I lost 15 pounds from february, but gained all of it back this summer when I totally binged. I'm really mad at myself and need to lose a lot of weight before I go on a cruise with my family and wear a bikini and stuff, y a know?

So, for teens who actually need to lose weight, we can support each other while we're dealing with school and life and trying to lose weight and still maintain our good grades.

So post your stats and we'll introduce outselves and support each other on this super hard journey.

Ughh I can't understand why I can't lose weight! I sat at 120 for years before I started to count calories. As soon as I did I went down to 115 almost immediately, it was a struggle to get lower than that and now I cannot get below 125 no matter what I do! I'm just ready to give in and buy new clothes or something :(

I know how you feel. We're in the same boat. I can't believe I let myself get back up to this weight! All I want to do is be smokin' and skinny.

Not good - my girly and I made cakes last night... I can totally feel myself about to binge X[....already ate loads of it last night.... hate myself for it =[

Haven't weighed myself since the other day, but I'm scared to. I don't fancy seeing above 121 on the scale. I want that to be my highest.

Tomorrow I am going to Germany, and then Holland to shop for horses! I am really excited....Does anyone know what the food is like? What's healthy and not in Holland?

I am gone for  a week, so I probably won't be checking in for the next week....

avoid the snackbars. theyre all deep deeep deeeeeeeep fried crap.

Ick. I totally stuffed myself last night. The champagne was disgusting, and my street is still smokey.

Ew, gross, I hate champagne, haha.

I think I did fairly well with eating on christmas, but new years I went a little overboard. And last night, too, for some reason. But I finally went from 196 to 191 pounds, and that made me happy. (:

Hope everyone had a good new year! (:

hey! Have you thought about doing the couch to 5K running program? I'm starting it today, and it's a pretty basic routine that can (in theory) get you running 3 miles without stopping in 9 weeks! (Ignore this if you're already doing it =])

Age: 17

Birthday: 22 August 1991

Height: 5'8.5

Weight: ermmm... somewhere between 149-154, I haven't weighed since xmas..

Goal: 120-ish by June

Little Goals:

-log everything I eat

-lose at least 5 inches from my waist!

-get back into exercise again, without going *too far*

-get 7 fruit/veg a day, and lots and lots of veggie-friendly protein!

Great aspirations!

i'd love to join.  i am new to this website- my fittest friend told me about it.

i am 19 and experiencing the "freshman 20"...which seem ridiculous to me because i hit the gym like a madwoman and try to eat really healthy.  but now i am really cracking down- i am completely cutting sweets, no more pop (or diet pop for that matter), and really watching bread and cheese.  i'm very disappointed in myself because i spent my entire senior year under 120 lbs and somehow i'm flucuating between 140 and 145 these days...I GAINED A LOT MORE THAN I REALIZED...and realizing it has made me like depressed since i've been back for the holidays.

i need a scale in my room ASAP, and i really need to learn how to eat healthy in the dining hall.  i'm really dilligent, i run 4-7 miles a day (i tore something in my leg so i've been stationary biking lately) but need to work on the eating, so all the support here will be fabulous.

age: 19

height: 5'2

weight today: 140.5

goal weight: 115 ASAP

my personal goals are cutting sweets cold turkey, and drinking all 8 glasses of water per day :)

Nope, that sounds perfect. How can I find it?

I have a long-term goal of 20 pounds, which would make me 106 pounds. Then I'd be done, maintain, and see how I felt (if I needed to gain a little or what). That's my summer '09 goal. So end of May. As of my current goal, I'm looking to make it to 110 by mid-March. 16 pounds! About 65 days... 9ish weeks...Think I can do it?!

good luck everyone! stay motivated!!! being happy when you look in the mirror is a whole lot better than a piece of cake is gonna make you Smile

That's quite a small group, I know, but there are larger ones dotted around the internet! The most useful thing I've found that is helping is this podcast someone on here pointed me to - its by Robert Ullrey, and it has inbuilt timings to accompany the run!

It starts off *really* easy, so it might not be right for you if you're pretty fit to begin with. That said, i consider myself pretty fit, and although the first week has been considerably easier than I was hoping, Its a really relaxing run/walk combination that is easy to follow.

I'm nicole, and I'm looking to be skinny by summer (:

Age: 15, but i turn 16 on sunday! (:

Height: 5'7"

Weight: 145-ish

Goal: 125-ish

Other Goals:

To be able to run a mile without stopping or dying for breath.

I'm trying to stay under 1500 calories a day, it's not working out so well yet :\. But hey, i've been overeating for years, right? Eventually I want to get down to ~1200 calories a day and maintain a weight of about 125.

heyyy guysss

well im 17..

im 5'7 and i weigh about 169ish...i wanna be around 140-145 for sure by summer, it would boost my self confidence alot, and i would be way more comfortable in a bathing suit this summer..

Got back from Germany a few days and have been passed out cold with a flu/cough thing. So I got back weighed myself on Sunday AM was 135.6 so up a bit, but not bad for a vacation and then I haven't really been that hungry since I;ve been sick so today I weighed myself-129.8! Too fast to probably stay and I am sure once I start feeling better I might go up a bit but it is encouraging!

Can i join?

If its not too late i would love to join since june is when i plan on reaching my goals.

I am about 129 pounds right now. I want to get down to 110-115
so about 20 pounds.

I am 17 & 5'2

I got down to 120 awhile back but gained over fall & holidays. I also wanna become more active & find other activies outside & not just going 2 the gym.

hi can i join too? i kno its a bit late....

I am 18 years old, 5ft9, feeling fat at 168 pounds and need to get to 115 by summer :|

I lost 62 pounds (or a bit like around 7ibs more) in 3 months since the beggining of august 08 so i know it can be done (and no that wasnt a typo!). If its too late not a problem! But chatting about it is always good!
