So, I'm trying so hard to really change my life and get fit... It seems like every weekend we have plans and I've been really good about bringing my own food and staying on track.

My big problem?? My friends. Why do they feel it's okay to make fun of me for weighing my food or bringing snack bags of veggies/fruits?

This is such a hard journey and I would have thought they'd be supportive.

anyone else have this problem?

Thanks for letting me vent

don't let them give you crap. I don't mean for you to verbally fight back but when they start seeing results they will admire you, trust me. I started this journey in october of last year at a little over 180 lbs. as of today I am 143 lbs. at first my coworkers gave me a hard time but now I have people coming up to me asking me how I did it.

after a while your friends will come around, just don't give up.

Don't let them get to you. They may be making fun of you now, but that could easily be jealousy. I had this same issue, but I just ignored it and kept doing my thing.

That is really unfair for you. They need to realise that you are making a positive decision and need as much support as you can get. I don't get any support from home because my family has a negative reaction to me saying I want to lose weight due to my history with an eating disorder. It's difficult, maybe try talking to them and making it clear how much it affects you? I hope they stop. Take care of yourself and stay positive.

I have a book at home entitled 'How to say F*** Off in 50 Different Languages'.  Want to borrow it?   It's not the most intellectual way to respond to smart-alec comments but it's very satisfying.

That's for the feedback guys!

and if i could learn to say F off in 2 or 3 languages i definitely think that might help Wink
