lol, yes, a gazillion times lol

especially in the summer

if you make your own guacamole it can be healthy...I made some the other day: 3 avocados, 2 things of lime juice, salsa and that's all I remember but it was real good and very healthy

any time of the year for me haha yeah like i said, eating the actual guacamole doesnt bother me. its the chips or whatever that just seem to HAVE to go with it haha

Best healthy guacamole recipe ever (made by me)

Mush up 2 avocados

Put 1 minced tomato in there with the mushings

cut up a shallot into teensy pieces and stick it in

squeeze some lime juice in there

add a crapload of cilantro

and then add salt to ur taste.

I eat it with a spoon, not chips. Better for you, and you get more guac per square inch of tongue

hungrygirl.com has a lower calorie guac recipe....try dipping veggies instead of chips into it!

Yikes!  A single avocado is like, 300 calories, so to eat an entire thing of guac would mean you're eating around 600 or more calories, not counting any chips for dipping.  Yes, avocados have good fat, but they should really only be eaten in moderation.  Why not try having a ripe avocado and only using about half of it (keep the pit in the other half, put it in a ziploc bag and throw it in the fridge, it'll keep for almost a week) and make a mini serving of guac and one or one-half serving of chips (or better yet, use veggies!) to control what you're eating so you're not using 1/2 of your daily calories on what's essentially a snack.

I went to a party the other night and I ended up eating an entire big bowl of guacamole by myself. My stomach felt like it was going to explode but I kept going and going. Now I know that I am not to be trusted around guacamole.

Guac rocks I have made it with half avocados and half green peas. Mush it all up ans you can't tell the difference and it's a little lower cal. But you can't beat the orignal.....

oh, that is a really good idea mixing it with part peas! I bought guacamole halves frozen--so I can take out what portion I want without it going bad...lol. I add in some plain fat free yogurt to thin it out a bit--add in some fresh lime juice, red pepper or cayenne. It's soooooo good on top of fresh tomatoes in a salad....

I'd like to try your recipe cindy -- what kink of peas do you use?  The fresh bright frozen geen ones or the icky canned ones?

Hi there "ttatwork",  I actually just found out about adding in the peas from the post just above mine (great idea, isn't it?!). I then add in some plain nonfat yogurt, fresh lime juice, red pepper or cayenne... I do it all to taste. Next time though--I will be adding in the peas. I will probably use the frozen ones. Wink
