Any guesses on the calories in this one!?!
i'm headed to the whole enchilada tonight www.twect.com and ordering this bad boy:
Roasted Vegetable Burrito
Zucchini, Squash, Red & Green Peppers Eggplant, Tomatoes, Onions, and Mushrooms, Brown Rice, Black Beans, Soy Cheese and Pico de Gallo
Anyone skilled or knowledgeable in the crafting of burritos (or just food savvy!) have any educated guesses on the calories in this thing?
It's mainly a question of portion size and how it's prepped. The wrap part can be anywhere from 100 to 300 calories depending on size, the veggies don't count for much unless they are roasted in a lot of oil, if they are I'd count about 80 cals for 2 tsp plus maybe 100 cals for veggies if there's a lot, brown rice is 100ish cals per half a cup, black beans are also 100ish cals per half a cup, pico de galo is about 20 cals per 1/4C, soy cheese can be anywhere from 70 to 130 cals per 30g serving.
I'd say that a conservative estimate for a large but not-too-huge one (made with a 10" tortilla) would be around 600 calories.
i know it takes longer but i cook a lot of home made meals that aren't on the website. so i go through each ingredient and put down how much of each was in it. then at the end you'll have your answer.
I <3 ily2tori's response here.
Most of the time I will say rule of thumb is any plate at a restaurant picture to be a minimum of 1,000 cals. Mostly fat at that since butter and oil is used a ton.
Also think in your head that you should only eat half. If you take the rest home, you log it (always add a TBS of Olive oil or Butter because chances are it's in there and you just don't know it). Once you have calculated it - chances are the half you ate isn't all that bad and the days isn't lost :).
Or if it is bad, then at least you didn't eat the whole thing! lol!!
Will I lose weight if I eat the same food over and over?
You can lose weight despite eating the same food day-after-day as long as you eat fewer calories than you burn. In fact, eating the... Read more
