TEAM SCORE: 1120 (of 1240) - 90%
I think we all should enjoy a well deserved pat on the back.
Week 2 Challenge
I now have the spreadsheet for weeks 2-7, if anyone would like a copy of the spreadsheet to track their own points I am more than happy to send it to you. E-mail me at super.sized@hotmail.com.
Going forward it will be easiest for me to collect points either in this thread or by having them e-mailed to me. I will try to create a summary of the point break down in my next entry.

Brain Buster Answer
EDIT: Sept 14 06, 2:36 EST
Here's my stab at the brain buster answer. Definately post other answers if you like. There is a fair bit of calculation involved, and I'm not sure that I split the various food calculations correctly.
BMI - 28.3 (according to tools on this site)
Calorie Defecit - 929 calories (using my entries, food log & activities on this site) - just realized I needed to change the activity level to "very active".

Since we still have time for week 1, if I give you my measurements today can you still add them to my total? Either way I will be taking measurements. I'll post them here. I was just wondering if they would still count for points.
I have until tomorrow to post the results, feel free to send them to me and I will adjust the team score appropriately.
The Offical Challenge has begun.
Information on the challenge and it's points is available:
Here is the official Challenge thread: http://www.calorie-count.com/forums/post/1376 1.html
A lot of work obviously went into this. If you read through this thread you will have a really good sense of the challenge and get a lot of great information which is what the challenge is all about. Also useful they have provided a quick points summary score sheet that can be used.
If you use the quick summary score sheet that they have posted I need to collect them as the score keeper. I am happy to collect these sheets either on this thread here (not the team submission thread) or by e-mail.
Alternately I have also created a similar points chart for people to use, I will post it on this thread. You can use mine, or the one the game organizers created. Mine has slightly more detail, so I figure it will be most useful for people who are not able to make the time to read the official challenge thread.
Finally you can e-mail me at super.sized@hotmail.com to get a copy of the blank spreadsheet that you can track your points on and send back to me.
WEEKLY POINTS NEED TO BE SUBMITTED TO ME EACH WEDNESDAY
PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR POINTS ON WEEKLY DISCUSSION THREADS, OR TO SUPER.SIZED@HOTMAIL.COM

GAME SUBMISSION THREAD: WHAT IS IT? WHEN DO YOU USE IT?
You may have noticed by reading the official challenge thread, my quick summary post, or the spreadsheet (if you asked for it) that some of the challenges (brain buster, recipe, nutritional information (sir thinks a lot), and motivation (walk the walk)) need to have answers posted on a game submission thread.
This thread is essentially an "answers only" thread that we need to post to when we are competing with other teams. You do not need to post your points sheets there since the team is reponsible for having a score keeper and keeping our own points tally, I would appreciate receiving points on this thread, or to my e-mail (super.sized@hotmail.com)
Use the game submission thread to answer challenges that are graded by the game organizers, post your answer to the brain buster, the recipe, the nutritional links, and the motivational entry on that thread.

Just a Brain Bender Hint! Supersized & JayD nailed the technique when they said...

Yup, I just used my own logs. You can log all the food information in tomorrow's food and activity logs, this will give you a blank slate to be able to figure out the calorie deficit.
Also you can go into your tools menu and choose BMI and just quickly edit your own settings (not hard to put them back they're put back automatically from your profile's default settings).
Sorry if this gives everyone a leg up, but I figure this is really about sharing. And, not making life difficult for our beloved Erik and Igor.
Cheers,

Heads up about Week 1!
Part 4 has been significantly edited for clarity. No one has to go back at all, but can if you want. We simply want people to start where they are and go from there!
The deadline for week 1 has been extended for everyone until Wed, 9/20.

Ok so we need two voluteers for recipes. I'll volunteer the one I created about an hour ago- see journal entry. If you want, we could use that one, if not we'll need two volunteers.
Hi Sonechko,
Thanks for volunteering for the recipe challenge. Can you please post your recipe and details (need to use the recipe tool on here to get the points) on the Team G Submission thread. The recipes need to be posted there in order for them to be entered into the larger competition where we could win up to 300 points for the best recipe in the game!!
Thanks!

POINTS TO DATE:
I'm posting a running points to date, so that everyone can see what I have and what I don't have. Remember, I'm collecting points from entries left here, on the game submission thread or in my e-mail super.sized@hotmail.com. Also, there are several challenges were we need to submit our answers to the game submission thread, because that is where the organizers are looking. Those areas are:
Part 3: Brain Buster
Part 4: Main Dish (recipies must be submitted by 2 volunteers)
Part 6a: Sir-thinks-a-lot (nutrition links)
Part 7a: Walk the Walk (Motivational)
Please Note: I am NOT checking journal entries for points submission. There are nine players who may or may not write everyday and there is a very good chance that I will miss a journal entry.
Supersized: 70 pts
Soncecko: 10 pts
Hubbaji: 10 pts
Team Points: 90
Yet to hear from:

I will keep updating this until Wednesday. Remember all points need to be in to me by midnight on Wednesday. If I have missed points please let me know.

I will be posting by Tuesday night, got a little behind, plus my "extra" won't happen until tuesday morning anyway!
Hi Han,
I know how you're feeling. I"m not sure I can keep up. It is a lot of information. In fact I'm pretty sure I'm not going to be able to keep up with most of the written work. Track my own eating, water and exercising I can do. But when am I going to find time to google extra nutritional information, write an inspirational message, and I just realized that I did the Brain Buster wrong....
I've lost track of the journals, I've got so many people on my friends list now that while I appreciate everyone I think I'm doing a disservice to everyone on my list because there are so many entries that I simply can't keep up.
Anyways this is a very unmotivational post from me. So hopefully someone can step in and punch up the motivation on this team.
The best thing I can say is do what you can, post what you can I'll try to keep up with the scores. But, it's getting really hard. I'm just hoping after we've all been through it this week that it will make much more sense next week.
I've lost track of the journals, I've got so many people on my friends list now that while I appreciate everyone I think I'm doing a disservice to everyone on my list because there are so many entries that I simply can't keep up.

sara- don't worry about keeping up with everyone's scores. We can track our own scores and just send them to you. I agree its a lot to keep with along with your own scores. Don't worry about it too much... work on your own stuff, we'll deal with our own stuff and if anyone's slacking we'll ALL get together and whip them into shape ;)
