I'm struggling with over excersising but eating a very high calorie diet. I just wanted to know what you guys do all day to keep yourself occupied. I have privledges to take a half hour walk but i just cant find any way to occupy myself especially with all the discomfort of all the food. Any suggestions and comments would be lovley (:

i can remember posting exactly the same thing a few months backs. i had the same problem . at first i found i couldnt concentrate on anything but as i started to gain i felt more able. i read , watch tv, movies , you could write it always helpful to right things down . i do painting by numbers , cross stitch , make necklaces with beads, you could make a cake hopefully eat a pieceLaughing. i know its frustrating but as you get better you will be able to do more hopefully this will give you motivation to move forward. have you looked into any groups going on in your area ? could you manage a short college course ?

I am in highschool hehe (: i sit all day during school but i cant sit still and when i get home i cant seem to control my urges to be up. I dont particularly excersise but i walk, play with my dog, clean, and im just totally restless. It helps me to hear what other people do for motivation (: Thanks for the options, I LOVE paint by numbers!

i know its hard to rest but it really is what your body needs . good idea play with your dog i have a dog to a jrt and she takes up alot of my time she needs constant mental stimulation lol like us :).i thought youd laugh at the painting by number . i cant paint at all but i actually feel i can when i do those

I”ve recently come back to uni (3rd years), so my days are pretty busy, so when Im home i try to relax...also my ed voice dont stop telling me im lazy, have to do some power exercise, etc... but... i dont care, maybe because im lazy these days?:D

Schoolwork.  A lot of it.  A lot of hard stuff.
Tutoring.  A bit of it.  It's some sobering stuff.
Playing.  Not much of it.  A little fun stuff.

COLLEGE! All day, every day - No breaks EVER... well I guess I can't say EVER because Thanksgiving & X-Mas break are just around the corner - but until then, I eat, sleep & breath college work, class, etc!

University papers + study = great time consumers... classes from Monday to Wednesday 8-5pm. Clinical at the hospital on Thursday and Friday from 7am-7pm. Part Time work at KFC on Saturdays for 8 hours... church and hanging with the cute kiddies in day-care on Sundays. In my free-time I spend it watching anime marathons (currently D Gray Man)...  yes, I'm a nerd.

If you want to occupy time, why not volunteer at a community service?? At the food-bank, the library, an extended care facility? Or take up a hobby like knitting, sewing, scrapbooking, baking etc. Or, if all else fails join some online RPG community.

I wish there were more hours in the day!

I exercise every day (naughty, slap me on the wrist, but it's something I'm working on with the help of a counsellor), run two businesses so do all the bookwork and accounts for those, have two teenage boys to cater for plus a husband, a 4 bedroom house to keep up, a garden, shopping, cooking, etc..... I guess it helps that I have OCD so I don't need any extra motivation to keep myself busy and occupied.

I do find myself obsessing over food now and again during the day, and at night too which is a pain because it sometimes stops me from sleeping.

I think the suggestion of voluntary work is a good one - it can also be very fulfilling for you, knowing you are helping the local community and keeping yourself occupied at the same time.

Good luck!
