I just can't stay on 1200-1300 cals a day anymore. My maintaince level is 1700 - sedentery.

I feel very tired even I don't workout. I slept yesterday like dead for 10 hours. so it is not a sleep problem.Today, I am tired and hungry.

How dangerous is it to be at the maintaince level for a few days and skip the gym??

do you recommend going to the gym and do light exercise and just take a full rest?

Dangerous?? What do you mean?

Maintance is what you should be eating more less all the time. How can normal be dangerous?

what is your schedule usually like?

how many cardio days and strength training days.

what is your diet looking like, and when do you eat?

how much sleep are you getting?
Zeke2: Yes, it is dangerous if I gain weight... not after all my hard work. :(( I am just trying to understand if it is ok to be on 1700 cals or even 2000 like yesterday.. without any seriuos negative results. the problem here is I have lost a lot of muscles... so if I increase my cals ( I already did), I don't know what will happen to me.

aurevoirchocolate: I used to work out 6 days a week for an hour to an hour and half a day. sometimes twice a day if I am in a good mood and there is time.

I also sleep at midnight. get up at 6am. sometime, at 5 am to go to the gym ( not anymore). I don't go to the gym these days.

My diet used to be very healthy. most of the time I eat fruit and vegetables.

Okay for the most part if you eat at maintance you won't gain weight.

You might gain some water weight.

You might have a little extra food in your stomach when you step on the scale .

But we aren't talking a serious gain here. What will happen is your body won't drop weight.

Sounds like you've burned out from working out too much.

Take a week off then work out at a  more reasonable pace.

Didn't you also say you just got over being sick?  You could probably use the recovery rest and extra calories.  Sounds like a good plan.
Safina- I had the same routine as yours...went to the gym for at least 2 hours a day, every day. Then I randomly stopped for 2 months...but continued to eat the same (well maybe a little more). I gained 15 lbs in 2 months!!! I advise you to be careful with any drastic changes...
safina are you only eating 1200 calories and going to the gym?
Because if you are you need to be eating the calories that you are burning at the gym.  If you are burning between 300 and 500 calories at the gym, then you should be eating at least 1700 calories every day.
When you list your lifestyle at sedentary you also have to add you exercise manually.  try it for a couple of days to see much you have been undereating.
