GUYS: thin or curvy?

So we are all too farmiliar with the controversy of curvy vs thick women... my question to all you is this:

If you see a 5'10 woman walking down the street, would you be more attracted to a thin or curvy figure?

Reading the title, I thought you were asking GIRLS whether they preferred their guys THIN or CURVY (ie- not the athlete body w/ six-pack, but "rounder").

What do you consider curvy? Its hard to determine what you mean by curvy. Examples or anything?

A 5 ‘ 10 women can look slim at 60 kilo grams, and a super model who is 5 ‘ 10 and weighs only 52 kilo’s ( 114 lbs) can ALSO look beautiful, even with a low BMI of 18.

Yes, some guys will like very thin model types but that is just ONE type out of THOUSANDS of different types guys like!

Research suggests that men are instinctively attracted to women who look healthy and will produce healthy children, having a smaller waste and wider hips is a look that men are drawn to according to the majority of the published studies.

It's a redundant question because everyone has a different idea of 'attractive'.   Even if the 5'10" woman is huffing and puffing down the street because she's 100lbs overweight there will be a man somewhere that thinks she's the most gorgeous creature he's ever seen.

I just posted in answer to a similar discussion on another board that lots (even 'most') of my male friends cite British celebrity chef Nigella Lawson as their 'sexiest woman'.  If you're not familiar with her she's tall and curvy with a tummy, a generous chest & hips...   But she also has a twinkle in the eye, raven hair, ruby lips, a sexy voice and she's a whizz in the kitchen.  (And the last one, to my certain knowledge, is a winner with the guys)

It is all relative.  Age is a factor for me.  Thinner younger, curvey older.  At my age, the perfect shape for a 5'10" woman is somewhere between Kim Cattrall and Minnie Driver, yet intellect and curiosity is critical as well.

My brother told me that guys...and I think he means most guys, of course there are exceptions...like thin AND curvy women.  He said that means thin women with curves in the right places, ya know, boobies and butt.  Proportionate women, with nice chest/waist/hip ratios are appealing to guys.

My brothers are very honest with me, and I think most guys find women as he described, ideally appealing...however it could just be his personal taste as well.

I think you just need to be comfortable in your own skin, rock the body you have, and radiate confidence.  Personally I think guys would dig that over a stuck up 36/24/36 biotch any day.

I have 3 older brothers, I also worked in the bar scene when I was younger.  And guys vary in their tastes as much as we do!  I worked with a guy who was attracted to women with a really big buttom, much bigger then a J. Lo bottom.  Some guys like boobs, others like butts, some like teeny tiny waists, some like a girl with beautiful legs ( muscular or thin), some like shoulders.

If you eat well and exercise properly you will have the best shape for your body. and if a guy isn't attracted to you so what. Don't try and change for the few guys that aren't attracted to you. Be who you are so that you find someone who likes YOU!!!    

PS I have small breasts, small hips, small butt and not much of a waist. But I love my legs and I have great shoulders, I am definately not curvy, but guys still hit on me all the time.

One of my friends has an hour glass figure and is tall and she gets hit on too.

Guys like happy, confident women!

I'm not a guy, but I think it all depends on the build of the girl. Some girls look better with a little weight on, and some girls look better with a little weight off. That's why I get mad when people use "curvy" or "plus-size" to describe women who are just overweight.

from what my boyfriend and brother say, the face has a lot to do with it too.  ever hear the term "butter face"?  everything looks good but her face.  my boyfriend and brother think sarah jessica parker and renee zellweger are two of the least desirable women because sarah has a horse face (bf's exact words lol) and renee has that weird scrunch face.  but they both have great bodies.  and of course there's my favorite, queen latifah.  she's a big girl with an extremely pretty face.  i think my brother will take queen latifah over ol' horse face any day.

i hate how in alot of magazines they have those body type things and the girl for curvy is always seriously overweight. that ISNT curvy. thats fat. i always laugh on those talk shows like maury ( secret guilty pleasure) where theres a fat girl on it going "the boys all love my curves" im not disrespecting bigger girls in any way but i always think that curvy sounds like it has some definition. a real hourglass. Im ok with my body but im definately an hourglass i have big boobs(32d) a small waist(27 in) and wide hips(35 in). im not ever going to be skinny because my body is just built curvy.  but my point is that Curvy has very different definitions for different people...

im not a guy, but I would much rather have curves in the right places (boobs and butt) than be shaped like a rectangle and have skinny chicken legs. But for every woman, there is a guy who will worship her body, no matter what it looks like.

...and bananapancake... 35" hips are NOT wide hips! lol. they are actually med-small... I have wide hips.. 39" and my boyfriend LOVES my bum.

Well if you ask me, i'm 5'9, I personally am attracted to curvy women.  5'10 is probably as the tallest that I would feel comfortable with.  Now by curvy, I mean I like a woman with hips, and yes a nice butt doesn't hurt.  But that is not all that I care about, looks aren't everything, but of course physical attraction based off of personal appearance is what spurs conversation.  So yes curvy, healthy, little fat on the body, little fat in the face, are all things that I can find attractive in a girl, but its truely her intelect that gets me in the end.

curvy all the way. My girlfriend isnt fat, she is a really healthy eater like me and she works out a lot, but she has got some FINE curves... the skinney girls are all just to... idk... into themselves for me. at least most of them are.
