I did at first....but the more I drank the more thirsty I was! It's great.....except having to go the bathroom ALL the time ;)
Sometimes, but it's a lot easier if I carry around a 1 liter bottle. I just make it my goal to sip it constantly and empty it twice. 2 liters=about 66 oz, so that does it for the day. If I really get into it I sometimes end up drinking a third liter, which will usually pay off in lost water weight the next day.
Yes, it's a big challenge for me still - especially when the weather is cool. It helped to fill a pitcher with 8 glasses, keep it sitting on the kitchen counter, then make sure it's empty towards early evening. Now, if I could only be consistant and fill the pitcher every day. I'd better fill it now, it's never too late. :)
Amj,
I gradually went from drinking maybe 2 sips of water a day to 4 liters of water a day. Just like rdgatewood said, the more you drink the more thirsty you will be.
Some things that always help me is:
1) I keep a water bottle near me at all times
2) If I am having a hard time drinking water I put a straw in my water bottle...the water goes down much faster.
3) Water is usually the only fluid I drink because I would rather eat my days calories, not drink them. :)

Since it is wintertime I've also found it hard for me to keep up my water drinking. However, I've found that drinking decaf green tea or herbal tea throughout the day is easy for me to do because it's nice and warm and it's not so bland as plain water.
I found a really nice water bottle and carry it around with me.
I do the same thing sqwish1984 does. I have a big bottle - I fill it twice. I try to keep it on my desk. If I keep it there I drink on it unconsciously throughout the day. You will make it a habit in no time.
same here, too. it does become a habit. now i almost always have a bottle of water with me, and rarely drink anything but water with my meals, except an occasional glass of wine. my solution was to buy 2 20 oz refillable bottles, and have one cooling in the refrigerator, to get rid of the "tap water taste," and carry the other one around with me. 12 oz at each meal, plus 2 20 oz bottles works out to 76 oz. just what i need.
Yes, a big water bottle really helps! Also the idea of having a straw is great advice too. It feels easier drinking out of a straw from, let's say a water bottle that can hold 5 cups of water than drinking without a straw from just a cup of water. Since I tried this method, I'm generally always drinking over 80 ounces of water daily and it doesn't feel like a great amount of water.
