I was wondering if any of you guys have particular habits of eating that you carry out everyday? nothing ED related, just food/drink habits that you do everyday. And if so, are you willing to challenge them and see what happens?

For example; I HAVE to have three cups of tea a day, one morning, afternoon and night. I just love my tea!(Maybe its an Irish thing!). This week though, every second day, I am going to replace the tea i the afternoon with either a smoothie/ensure/milkshake.

Anyone else?

I don't have ed habits other then counting calories so that is one I am challenging by using the exchange plan. A habit i do have is getting a coffee out every morning. I am not wanting to change this is it is my simple pleasure and it does not keep me from eating my full plan and having other healthier fluids. Ip they had people challenge their habits like eating things seperate or pulling apart. I never had those issues but I saw how hard it was for others to challenge it. The thing is though you want to be able to eat a meal out with friends without looking odd I would tell them so maybe keep that in mind towards the goal

For me I HAVE to have coffee with a splash of low fat milk with a banana first thing in the morning with a tall glass of water on the side. Weird I know, but the banana and coffee give me energy and the water rehydrates me after the night. Not really unhealthy, but just an indelible part of my routine for years.

The other thing which has been a habit for years has been needing something sweet mid-afternoon. I have actually switched to eating something substantial like a whole grain sandwich with hummus or ham instead of cookies and candy over the past few months on CC, and its made a HUGE difference to how I feel. No energy surge and crash, and much more even eating patterns the rest of the day.
