hair, to go blond or brown
so basically i have two choices right now go dirty blond or a light brown. i have light eyes and i want them to stand out. having been dirty blond for 2 years i tried going natural (which is mouse brown) and didnt like it. i like being blond as its fun yet i think brunettes are hotter. advice
Redhead! ;D
Need a picture to really give you an honest opinion.
There are too many fake blonds out there as it is, I would go for something darker personally, but, like I said, can't really say without seeing a picture.
I agree with HK (sort of) I was like you original color wise, and I always highlight to a med blond.
Last year I went to a deep auburn (think Debra Messing shade) with carmel highlights and wonder why I never did it before. It looks great with my green eyes.
thanks guys
yea i want something dramatic
arg but my hairdresser (who does it for free as shes my friend) said light or light basicaly, for blonde it would only be highlights i love redhair but she wont do it
Blended highlights and low lights. I like the idea of a caramel for the dark color, and then set it off with highlights around the face.

Bummer, red hair would be fun :)
Redheads have more fun ;)
Lmao, if you want dramatic, pick up a container of Electric Lizard Manic Panic dye :'D
Reds (unless natural) fade out really quickly, which is probably why your hairdresser doesn't want to do it.
Personally I'd go darker and then add in some highlights. :3

special effects is better :)
Try a carmel blond or a honey blonde, if you want a darker shade to highlight your eyes, or you could do low-lights,
One week ago Saturday I went from a long blonde (about to my bra strap) to a short (angled bob) super dark chocolate brown! Crazy!!! I've been blonde nearly my entire life (27 years) and I just needed a change!! Most people LOVE my new hair. My husband calls me his super hot mistress : ) My 80 year old Grandmother is one of the 3 people that does not like my hair... I also have blue eyes...the new hair color really makes them pop! The dark color is fading very quickly b/c of all the blonde...but the next time I get it colored it should hold much better. BUT, should I want to go to go back to blonde instead, my hairdresser will just cover my head in hgihlights and within a few months I should be blonde again...so really only the cut was the risky part. I say go for a change - it's fun!! Fall is approaching - go dark!! : )
I've had longish ash-blonde hair my whole life, until a month ago. Very dark ashy blonde. Length varied from hip to shoulder length. It was almost bra strap a month ago, when I cut it short (layered) and went a warm honeyed brown/dark blonde with lighter blonde highlights. I ADORE it.
And it makes my face appear thinner, too!

HK is right I can tell you from experience, redheads totally have more fun. If you can't go full blown red, what about strawberry blond or auburn with rusty highlights? If not red at all I'd go brunette, deep chocolate. I personally really don't like strongly contrasting highlights, especially if you want to bring out your eyes.

Reds do fade extremely quickly, but they do make tinted shampoos and conditioners to help maintain the color. (which I use with every other wash)
I also agree with vicereine about Special Effects being better... but Manic Panic has Vampire Red, which happens to be my fav.
As far as getting back on topic, I would have to see a pic to say for sure, but I'd say go for the darker of the choices. Darker is much more striking with light eyes.
i read a whole article about colouring the hair , if you want to colour you hair that depend on the colour of your skin and the colour of your eyes . i got the article but its in onther languge i know that language but the article is way to long to translate . so if you like you can tell me the colour of your skin and your eyes so i can tell you what is the colour you need for your hair , or simply put your picture .
Red fades on me uberquickly, even if I use tinted shampoo and conditioner. It goes well with my green eyes and fair skin—in fact I was born with red hair (which is now nearly black)—but it isn't worth the maintenance in my opinion.
Bleaching is damaging and washes out fair-skinned complexions. I would go with brown. I just recently went brown and love it with my light eyes and skin color. And my hair doesn't get stripped as it did when I was blonde.
You could go brown with a little bit of a red undertone. But if your stylist won't do that it may be because red is not the right color for your complexion. It's rare for a person to look right with all hair colors.
I'd suggest a dark, rich brown if your coloring allows it. And I'm not really one for blonde highlights. I think the rich color makes the eyes pop more and the skin glow. Your stylist will mix the color so it isn't solid, anyway: you will get a natural, multi-tonal brunette look.
My natural color is in that annoying place between blonde and brown and I have medium blue/gray eyes. I guess I'm boring and predictable but I go blonde late Spring with lots of little highlights and then a rich brown when fall goes into full swing. When I want to mix it up with red I usually do it early fall before I go brown so the fading doesn't frustrate me too much.
