What happened to Coach Dee???

Sorry- I'm sure this isn't really related to weight loss- But I have noticed a lot of her entries were deleted...

I saw Hkellick post something about "before Coach Dee left"

... I feel out of the loop...

Shame on you people for not giving me the memo on this one... LOL

Where'd she "go?"

I think the long and short of it was that she got mad at everyone - maybe somebody questioned some of the things she said - and asked the guys to delete all her posts.

Right?  Did I miss something in that concise explanation?
I think she still reads the boards, on occasion.  But she doesn't post, really, anymore.
Disagreement is grounds for deleting posts and leaving?  Kinda childish.
She deleted her own posts. Then she asked Erik to resurrect them from the database. Then the very next day, she deleted them again. If you look up her username, down at the bottom are links to the most of her recent posts, you can catch up on the whole story. She didn't really post that often. If you are looking for a piece of information she posted, I have almost all of it saved to my harddrive.
Although I'm not sure I read every post about Coach Dee, I believe the gist of the issue of deleting was by her choice, as she is a professional and felt the content of her posts were proprietary information. She has the right to ask, and Erik/Igor honored her request.

The reason for asking??? Seems like there was some conflict over something she posted. Enough said.

Actually, I BELIEVE all her old posts, the ones like Calories In vs. Calories Out are STILL on the boards, and readable. Some of her comments are gone, though...
Well all I have to say is that it was her choice to leave but if she does still read the forum and she reads this one I would like her to know that I loved the posts she had and the information she gave out...I thought she was a real asset to the community - nothing against anyone else or other people posts.

I have thought that it would be nice to a have nutritionist, trainer, professional come on the site at a set time and answer questions.  I think that would be so helpful to people.  Anyone agree?  Sort of like a live chat.
I emailed her and she was kind enough to send me some very specific advice which I am doing my best to follow.

When I can start doing her exercise recommendations, I feel sure I will see major results.
Personally, I think the bigger issue, is that she was trying to start up a website for her own business. She was hoping that by participating on the C-C site, it would direct some traffic and business her direction and thus lead to earning a few coins. It never happened. Her website is poorly designed and does not generate any traffic. She should hire a professional web designer to assist in developing her online business, and perhaps a marketing professional to assist with advice on how to properly advertise her business. But that is just my theory from seeing that sort of thing many times before. =)
So what you're saying, ix is, she should hire you? ;)
No, I am retired. *wink*
hahah...I agree that her site was not very user friendly...clearly her talents are in weight management maybe not web design.
DCgirl, those kind of people cost money. There are other website out there that offer those kinds of services, such as www.ediet.com that you can pay to have access to that kind of information. I think for a free to the user site, C-C rocks. We are so fortunate to have so many features for free, that I couldn't ask for more. I understand that nutritionist, trainers and various professionals cost money, and that if I want access their services, I should be willing to pay for it. I think it has always been Erik's mission to keep this a free site.

Though if you want to do the research where sites like www.ediet.com offers chat sessions with nutritionist and such, and provide the links for the community, that would be really cool. Maybe some folks here would be willing to pay for that sort of thing. Personally, if I want professional advice, I make an appointment with my doctor. I don't trust the professionals on the internet. Just because they went to medical school, doesn't mean that they didn't get through on more than just a C average. Would you want a doctor who graduated from university with a C average to perform a surgical procedure on you? I like knowing and feeling confident regarding the competence of my doctor.
I also like how C-C doesn't feel like a giant commerical!!
She was very helpful- I also emailed her for some advice...

She's very knowledgeable & I miss her posts!

Too bad....

Thanks for catching me up. I tagged a lot of her old posts and once I went back in to re-read, they were all deleted. :(

ix... I noticed you've posted the important stuff again- So I tagged yours! ;)
i know that they cost money.  and I agree that if you want to pay you should just thought it would be nice.  thats all.  I think the validation of what we say (non experts) would be nice but I like it here and I like that its "low maintenace" and very open.  all I was saying was that coachdee added that professional element which I think people enjoyed, whatever her motives were.
Yup, I do read these message boards. Just about everyday actually. Over the past month I have read a few nice things about me and I have read some seriously nasty stuff about me too. That's cool.  Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Most of all I have read many stories of personal achievement and dedication. That sort of stuff would inspire anyone.

Oh and as an FYI I did apologize to HKELLICK, in fact I wrote him twice. In case everyone thought I was too childish to address the issue. I told him, that it wasn't the typo and I apologized if it caused him any grief and I wished him well.

And just incase any gives a rat's patootie, I've have 16 requests from CC people for a phone consultation, I have called back 16 and answered their questions and stayed on the phone for 30min plus and I never charged them a single cent. I have also answered hundreds of e-mails from CC members, and I never charged a cent, nor have I hounded them with spam etc.

Believe it or not, I did do this all of this out of the goodness of my heart, to help other achieve health and wellness like I have.

Yes I am working on a book, and I had to take content found in the book off this site or I risked my chance to publish a book, sorry if I am selfish, but it has always been a dream of mine to write and to inspire others. I am sorry for whomever I upset by pulling those posts.  The major ones I gave Erik permission to post, and to lock them in place.

I'm not a guru, and I never thought I was or did I ever purport to be one.  I'm just an ex fat chick who was dying a very slow death because I was unhealthy and I didn't care about myself. I made a lifestyle change, and I literally worked my butt off to become healthy and fit again. I took countless courses, and educated myself and worked with professionals like dieticians, nutritionists, endocrinologists, exercise physiologists and bariatric doctors to learn about the human body, exercise, fat loss and overall wellness.  Then in my spare time I found this site, and decided to post here and there.

I never claimed to know everything, in fact I know that I do not know everything.  I learn more and more each day. I never stop researching and learning about health, wellness and being fit.

I want to give a shout out to all the members of this site who have been very kind and fun to speak with and e-mail back and forth, and to those who do not believe I did this out of the goodness of my heart, you are going to be hard pressed to find one CC member who has paid for consultations, or one CC member who I have tried to hit up for payment.  I actually enjoy helping people because they appreciate it, and sometimes in life, that is all the payment a person needs.

I am really glad to read that so many people are seeing changes in their body compositions, slowly, but surely, and that you are doing it in a safe and healthy manner.

Kudos!

P.S Yeah my website is not the coolest site on the web, but it serves the basic web presence I need, considering that most of my referrals have been from word of mouth. LOL
I am glad you are still here reading the posts.  Mabe there are some jelous people on this site that believe they know more than you do.  However, they have some catching up to do.  Thank you for all the great info you have given.  I will look for your book to come out.  Best wishes.
eattolive2006,

I couldn't have said it better myself!

I am one of those C-C members that Coachdee is referring to and I have emailed her several times and begged her to allow me to pay her for her time and services (she took the time to go through all my info and gave me a plan tailored just for me and it is working!). She refused to accept any money from me.

Thanks to Coachdee's *FREE* advice I have broken through a couple of nasty plateaus and she has helped me in the journey of losing 66lbs so far.

As far as I am concerned, Coachdee's absence is a loss to this C-C member.
Hmm... totally missed the post from earlier. I am glad to hear that CoachDee is doing well. I mean after threaten members of this website with legal action, I am surprised that she still comes around. Must be because of all those psychological problems she once had listed on her website that are now deleted. That's just not the kind of stuff you want to run around advertising about yourself. I don't think anyone in this community is jealous of CoachDee, just disappointed by the demonstrated unprofessional behaviour and choice of actions. It's totally her choice if she wants to come around and start posting information again. Many of the members of this site will find it beneficial. Though, I recommend that if you read something you like in the future, be sure to save a copy to your hard drive.
