I had a hair cut yesterday (it's been awhile!) and tonight husband and I are going to a charity auction/dinner. I was still feeling frumpy so I reached into the back of my closet and pulled out a pair of pants I haven't worn in well over a year (ugh because of gaining weight) and ..... THEY FIT! I would have been happy if I could just get them UP but they actually fit and look nice! I am SO happy. (Glad I didn't wait to much longer or I wouldn't have gotten the chance to wear them - haha!) That is 2 dress sizes so far (I would like to lose about 4  more!!) The scales aren't showing all of my hard work, but the inches are coming off and that is good enough for me!! Have you ever done this before? Been surprised that your effort is paying off?

I know what you mean. I lost about 40 pounds since January and in the last month or so I haven't seen a change on the scale, I have actually been feeling really frumpy. However I have gotten several coments lately about how good I look and my pants are barely staying up without a belt. I don't know how its happening without losing any weight but I'll take it. I started out a size 18 and I am in a 12 currently. I figure even if I don't lose a lot more weight I will at least get into a size 10 which is what I was at High School graduation! So congrats to your new size.

hehe, I've been feeling like I haven't lost as much as my scale has said, and looking in the mirror, I haven't really noticed much of a difference.

Then, the other day my pants weren't fitting right, so I reached for a belt I haven't worn for awhile.  I used to wear it at the 2nd to smallest hole, and when I tried to do it up, the smallest hole was a good 8-10 inches too big!!!  I was so shocked!  I had no idea I was that much smaller.

So yes, I can relate - and yes, it was an amazing feeling, and I'm keeping the belt so I can see my progress lol.

Way to go sbat and kukua!!
