It Happened!
I went out with my mother-in-law shopping today. As soon as she saw me, she said, "Oh my goodness, you are so skinny!!" That is the best compliment she could ever have given me. It has been a long time since anyone has called me "skinny"! Sure felt good!

Awe congrats! That's very nice :D
Thanks!! I know I shouldn't be hung up on sizes but - I bought a pair of size 10 jeans and a medium polo shirt that compliments rather than "hides" the new me. Having gone from a size 22 to size 10, it's hard to break the habit of buying clothes that provide 'maximum' coverage.
You deserve to be hung up on sizes girl!!! You did it! That is amazing. Congrats on you weight loss :)
omg.. 22 to 10??? WOW i'm in (barely) a 22 (they are the size of
the jeans that just zipped for the first time last week) and i hope to
be a 12 some day.. it's amazing to know that it can be done! :)

CONGRATULATIONS! You are a great big dose of motivation today!!!
Yay for you bigsister!! I can relate to how good of a feeling that compliment is. I still have 10 pounds that I'm trying to lose, and I know my perception of myself is that I still look overweight, so when someone told me about 2 weeks ago, 'You're all skinny' I jusut about bursted inside with good feelings!
You go girl!
You go girl!
Oh that's so awesome - I just want to make it to a 12 from size 20. As Obsydian said it's so nice to see it can be done!
bigsister that is way cool!! How long did it take you to loose the weight. That is AWESOME!!! I can't believe a size 22 to a size 10...Wow what an inspiration you are!!!
I thought I should share my motivational story....I started calorie counting approx. 1 month ago. I lost 5-6 pounds in 3 weeks--everything was going great! then I caught a very bad cold....took all of my energy & left me drained ...I started eating....eating...and not counting so that I could function normally -- well, I gained almost everything I lost in the first 3 weeks--now I'm over the cold & trying to get back to counting the calories...but really need whole lot of self discipline! thanks for listening! ;-)
Way to go Bigsister!! I love hearing about success!! I cant wait to get there!!!
Yay! to you Bigsister.. Keep up the good work.. You go girl.. :)

Sue - you'll get back there.....it's taken me about 10 months to get to where I am. My forward movement had a lot to do with the wonder of putting on something I couldn't zip up previously and finding it would zip (albeit I had to 'suck' it up more than once to do so). Sort of like obsidyan is experiencing now....putting on pants that wouldn't fit....to almost fitting....to fitting...to being too big. Then, I'd move on to the next size. Sometimes the proof isn't the number on your bathroom scale but in how your clothes fit (or not). &nbs p;
bigsister....that's awesome. Congrats to you, skinny one!
Bigsister - Congrats on your success and thanks -- I will try your approach, I have at least a dozen of pants that no longer fit. But how did you keep the colds & fatigue away?
Sue - I don't know - I'm very fortunate in that I don't think I get sick and if I do, well, I figure I must not be THAT sick. I come from a very large family so unless you were flat on your back dying - you weren't sick - end of discussion. I've sort of taken that attitude with me into adulthood.   ;
