every single day forthe last month and a half i have made it to my calorie limit, then after getting board or feeling a little hungry i go and eat 200-300 calories over my limit. it makes me so mad. i tried so many things.

I tend to do that too, I just get so hungry. I guess the thing we need to do is find better food choices that are low in calorie to eat. I don't know!!!
I do that too, like every night after dinner. I'm trying to train myself to get into the habit of drinking tea instead. When I get those cravings for sweets or whatever, I just put on the kettle. I've only been doing it for a few days, but I noticed last night that I went right for the tea instead of poking my head into the fridge first.
eating when you're bored is a sign that you tie your eating habits to your emotions. force yourself to wait for 10 or 15 minutes when you feel a craving. sometimes that helps you fight it off. also, now that you know you're doing this, plan a better snack for yourself at this time of day than what you're having now (fruit instead of junk). it just takes time to get over habits like this. you're doing well - hang in there!
Ive noticed since ive change my eating from 2 0r 3 meals a day to eating every 3 hours or so it seems to keep my sweet tooth at bay.
I have always been a night eater. I get really munchy and hungry about an hour before I go to bed. Some tricks I've been using are drinking yummy things like tea or crystal light and eating sugar-free jello. I also sometimes plan it into my day and go a little lighter during the day so I can have that treat I want before bed. I have found it's better to work with your cravings rather than try to ignore them completely. When I make up my mind that I'm not going to eat at night, that's when I go crazy and eat the entire box of macaroni and cheese. But, if I plan on it and let myself have a little something, it keeps me happy and I don't go nuts.
Today is my first day going over my limit by a few hundred, and it was plotted out ahead of time. I knew Alex and I would go to Chilis and I knew we'd stop at the store to get the fixin's to make our own dessert. I had everything calculated and pltoted out before we even got dressed for the evening.
If I get the munchies or a "little bit hungry" late at night, I find a project. I'm one of the lucky ones where the kitchen is downstairs, there're two babygates to get through to get to the kitchen, and yeah.. just not worth it to go down there and cure a craving.

opposite problem, i can't seem to get to my matinence requirement...o well...
