Hey guys, its been awhile since iv posted on here but its great to be able to post knowing im nearly fully recovered!!!
Anyways, iv managed to put 7lbs back on (after losing 28lbs) which has taken about 4months of more "normal" eating. Iv not increased my calories drastically on a daily basis but iv started eating carbs again and have been going out for 2meals a week and stuffing myself plus eating "junk" food on occasions etc etc!
I feel so much better for putting the weight back on and for the first time in ages i went out on Sat night and felt nice in what i was wearing and still keep looking back at the pictures because i like how i look now!
Im not scared of food anymore and dont binge as much because i know when iv had enough food now etc etc.
My question is ... now that the weight gain has kicked in, do i need to be careful what i eat now in order not to keep gaining? How will i know when iv reached the right weight for me because im happy with where i am now but before the anorexia iv always weighed 126 - 133.
Iv got another little question ... my nan said that you can tell iv put weight on and look alot better but iv not put fat on. I wanted to know how you can put weight on but it not be fat and my mum said im rebuilding muscle tissue, is this true?
Thankyou!! xxx
Thankyou, my bmi is 18.5 but on the NHS website, it said that was healthy?
Another question for you all to ponder over......SInce iv started putting weight back on i have been sweating immensly in the night! I wake up and i am literally soaking wet to the point where sweat is trickling down my legs! Its like someone has poured water all over me and my bed!!
Has anyone else experienced this?!
xxx
Night-sweats are a different matter and you may need to see your doctor about it if it carries on. There are lots of causes ranging from stress, to hormonal changes, to palpitations, to hypoglycaemia (very low blood sugars). If you ask your doctor they'll be able to check you over and hopefully reassure you.
