Happy Passover!
I hope everyone had a wonderful evening with their families tonight! I am very jealous as I have midterms TONIGHT and am not preparing the meal. What are you making?

First, we're having homemade matza ball soup, which is sooo good. No latkaes today because of time, but hopefully tomorrow or the day after. Then the usual briscuit with all sorts of yummy sides and veggies! For dessert, chocolate matza and more charoset! : D
Heh; I'll be the same way off at college. Chag same'ach Pesach! (Happy Passover! : D)

The most Morrocan-Est feast you can think of. I feel like Im in the middle of Arabia ;)
Mmmm! Chocolate matza~
What's charoset? (Please forgive my curiosity. my whole family's Catholic but I swear there must be some Jewish ancestry -- my dad looks like he's Hasidic.)
We had a simple soup for the main meal. After boiling the clear broth I added a beaten egg to make a noodle like affect. The veggies and boiled chicken were warm and served afterward. It made the meal a lot less calorie expensive.
Charoset is a mixture of various fruits, some nuts and wine. The ashkenazi tend to use apple (and sometimes pear) sauce with ground wallnuts while the Israelis have a mixture of date spread, banana and almonds. Both have the wine. Delicious.

I just wanted to share this great thing: my husband surprised me by making everything and printing out a copy of the haggadah from the internet (haha!) - he is the best. We stayed up very late and I do believe this was the best Pesach ever! Being vegetarians, he asked me if he should smear a carrot on the door instead of blood! : ) He really made me sooo happy - I have no words for this.
