I am havin such a hard time lowering my calories from 2000 to 1500, and being tired all the time is'nt helping me one bit. I guess I just need a little support here and some one to talk too. Although we did have pizza lat night, and I did pass that one up, and had tuna on a tortilla shell with a little cheese. Which I i some what proud of my self of that then my husband goes and get ice cream cones for the kids for a snack I had yogurt partait. Boy did that ice cream cone look really good though. Which my 2 yr. old ate most of it for me because he enjoys yogurt and fruit.

I totally understand what you're saying. When I first started on my weight loss voyage, I had trouble with this too. This may not work for you, but it worked for me. First, I started with fresh vegetables. I would still have one piece of pizza, but add a big salad with lite dressing instead of the second and third piece. I also switch to Nature's Own double fiber bread - only 40 calories a slice. Tortillas were hard to give up, but there are some "carb balance" I think their called, that have less calories. Cut back to ow fat cheese and milk, if you haven't already. There are also some pretty tasty icecreams that have half the calories or less than the regular ice creams. Don't cut out all the good tasting stuff, it will make it too hard. Just watch portion size and control how often you have them. Something else I did was switch from baked potatoes to baked sweet potatoes, much healthier for you. Watch the kind of tuna you eat, some are very high in sodium. You think you're sacrificing but it's not really that healthy. I got caught up in that. I still eat tuna, but just the plain, in water, not spiced up tuna. After sticking to my diet and losing about 15 pounds, my husband realized I was serious and has started being more supportive - he cooks most of the dinners so his support is critical! - and looking for ways to dress up my foods so they looked as good as everyone elses. Don't give up. Just keep plugging along. If you 've not done it already, you might want to look up and compare several foods before you plan a meal so the calories don't sneak up on you. Hang in there and let me know how you're doing.
ajy has said it all--- cut back in portions, not what on what you love... ice cream and treats shouldnt be an everyday treat tho.. i leave saturday and sunday open for a good cookie or something really indulgent but try to keep my weekends really focused and low on the cals... i am trying to stay at 1200-1500 depending on the day, and at first it was really hard for me.. but now im learning to eat when im hungry, not when im bored... i used to snack on a bag of chips or pretzels ALL day throughout the day at work... and now i realize i was just snacking wayyy too much.. best of luck on trying to minimize but dont feel like u have to give up everything for a more healthier you.
