Just don't eat it.
I want to know too.  I've tried different fish with different recipes.  If there is a hit of fishy smell or taste in it I can't take more than a few bites.

have you ever really *tried* fish?  I know its a silly question, but i always assumed i hated tuna, then i finally tried it and loved it!  Especially the tuna with different flavourings (i love lemon pepper and sun dried tomato and basil canned tuna).  Low fat fish fillets (with low calorie crumb/batter/coating) are also really really yum, especially paired with low cal tartare sauce or sweet chilli sauce.

A lot of people rave about smoked salmon, but i prefer it fresh and cooked on a barbeque!

If you dont like fish at all, dont sweat it.  Just find other ways to get healthy fats into your diet (like nuts, flax seed oil etc)

:)

I hate fish too - but I started slowly eating it cause I figured the omega-3 fatty acids were a good idea. I started with buying frozen, cooked, deveined shrimp and mixing it up with lime and cilantro. I have also found that white fish, like tilapia, don't have nearly as strong an odor as the red fish (like salmon.) Grilling tilapia fillets with lemon and oregano with couscous is great!
try halibut or yellowfish tuna. I'm not a fish fan either, but these taste pretty good with ssome spices. I love fish with teriyaki sauce :)

while fish is a healthy, low fat protein, it's not a "must eat" thing.  If you don't like something, then just don't eat it.

If you are serious about trying to eat it, there are a few things you can do.  Seasonings and sauces make a big difference.  Here's a quick and easy recipe for cod, which is one of the lowest calorie fishes.

1 pound center cut cod fillets - 4 pieces
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped celery
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup chopped green or red bell pepper
1 can diced tomatoes with their juice
1 cup tomato juice
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt & pepper to taste
juice of half a lemon
Fresh minced parsley

Saute the onion, celery, garlic and pepper in the olive oil.  When soft, add the tomatoes and tomato juice.  Taste and season with salt & pepper.  Bring to a boil and place the cod on top.  Turn the heat down to a simmer, cover and cook for 15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.  Add a squeeze of lemon juice and garnish with minced parsley before serving.

clairelaine - what a lovely fish recipe! I shall definitely try it - I don't like fish much either, but I am trying new things since I joined CC.

Thanks!
letsgetitstarted, the tomato really flavors the fish. You can use a hot pepper instead of bell pepper if you like.  I have whole wheat bread, or brown rice and a salad with this.  The bread is great for soaking up the juices.
I seriously hated fish until my boyfriend made me try it in Seattle.  I ate sushi (BIG deal), fresh salmon, fresh halibut, and fresh tuna.  I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I was on the coast, but I didn't hate it!  I'm still hesitant, but try getting the best and freshest fish you can find.
salmon is the answer
I hate the eating fish as well.  The only kind i can eat is canned tuna.  I use some light mayo and chop up a few pickles to put in it, and I have some high fiber bread that I use to make sandwiches.  I swap vanilla yogurt for mayo on the bread though. It's super yummy =]
