So, apparently today one of the girls I work with (who has been walking with me but she is struggling to count calories) she decided to tell an ex coworking my weight loss, which is fine... Exciting for me but then she tells me what the ex coworker says, and its frustrating. The ex coworker apparently said.....How did she lose 20 pounds all she eats is potatoes...
Not gonna lie, I LOVE POTATOES.... I guess until calorie count I never realized that you can cut calories and still enjoy a potato though!!!!
This ex coworker is a gossip girl and she tends to talk badly about others so I know her saying that was nothing positive...
I guess I just have to keep saying to myself, damn it will be nice to lose another 20 pounds and be happy with myself..
Ellen,
Don't listen to it. Tell your friend you don't care to hear what that person has to say. You can be proud of what you have done and what you are doing. Gossip is a bad habit and only hurts people.
You are doing great. You keep right on eating your taters. Have you tried Mrs. Dash on them. I know you said you want to watch your sodium intake. Mrs. Dash is an acceptable substitute.
Ellen -
I agree completely about the gossip thing. Nothing good ever comes out of it! However is this ex-coworker also in need of losing a few pounds? If she is that could be the root of her nasty comments - you are doing what she knows she should, etc. If she is already thin she may be sacrificing everything she thinks is good to stay that way or maybe she is just a nasty person who can only feel good about herself when she is making fun of other people.
Whatever the reason you were exactly right when you said you just need to keep telling yourself that it will be DAMNED NICE to lose another 20 pounds so that you can feel GREAT about yourself and still love your potatoes.
Keep up on the good work and congrats on the first 20!!!!!

Im sorry that someone had to be so negative about your success. Sadly, people seem to be threatened when someone else succeeds, especially women. Keep smiling your doing awesome!!! Congrats on the 20lbs!!
