hate going, love coming back

the gym that is. I hate trying to work up the gumption to just get in the car and go there... when there are so many things that need doing around the house (I homeschool my son, and am active in lots of things that require attention... not to mention trying to get the house ready for an adoption honestudy... so yes, busy busy busy)

However, coming back from the gym I have so much more energy and feel so much more postivite and relaxed about everything from having all that stress relieved... I just wish it were easier to remember that when I am trying to get there.

time to go.

Enjoy it.... You will be satisfied after you did it
Create a daily event schedule and get a handle on your busy days, so that you can slot a definite time in for the gym.  Work going to the gym into your day when it's most convenient for you to go. This will help with staying consistent with your workouts.

Having a plan of attack will enable you not to stress so much when it comes time for the gym, because you'll have worked it successfully into your busy daily schedule to begin with.

Your satisfied feeling you get after your workouts should be enough to bring you back for more.

oh, don't get me wrong, it is worked into my schedule 3-5 times a week (as a home schooling mom I can only go on days hubby ins't working or they have open swim time on site because my son is only 8 and can't be left alone) or I make sure I get it in at home if I can't get to the gym. It is just the thought of the other things I could be doing that makes it hard to go.

For instance, the weather here is beautiful today, low to mid 80's, slight breeze and sun forever. I have trees to trim, weeds to pull, rocks to move from one place to another in the garden, etc... on top of homeschool, my job, and the other stuff... so going to the gym for an hour and a half seems rather selfish.

I am glad I went though. I did better on the bike (half hour at an average of 16.2mph) and lifted weights for about 45 minutes and then cooled of with a short walk. I had fun, it felt good doing it and I got to read a great article about how to put on eyeliner like the pros (that last bit was sarcastic... I don't wear make-up... it clashes with my combat boots)

Thanks for the encouragement!
