SO last night I probably had more sodium than this entire past week combined and I woke up 3 lbs heavier. Uggggh. I also ate stuff I definitely shouldn't, but before freaking about this gain, I need to know, could all 3 pounds be water weight? I mean, 3 lbs is a lot to be nothing but water, but i don't know, maybe its possible- could this be? Does anyone know if eating WAY too much sodium could have the power to hold three awful pounds of water?

It's water weight.
Drink ALOT of water to flush the sodium out
And in a day or two, your weight will drop back down.
No need to worry. I've been scared by sodium alot too, that's why I stay away from it.
When I do eat excess sodium, I don't get on the scale the next day, lol.

The exact same thing happened to me last weekend... and then AGAIN this weekend!
Last Sunday I had a lot of Popcorn. And a Quizno's sub, which may have been even worse than the popcorn :) and didn't drink as much water as I often do. Woke up 3 lbs heavier. The next day I was STILL 3 lbs heavier... but the day after that I was down 2 lbs, and the next day down another (back to the original).
Yesterday I spent a good deal of time outside, went for a 2-hr walk... and didn't drink enough water, I guess. This morning again -- 2.5 lbs heavier. There's no way I overate by 10000 cals or whatever to gain that weight...
The only problem with it is, I'm up 3 lbs, then down 3 lbs, which means I maintain... but I don't lose!! X-(
