Uh oh. You're not supposed to have more than a 1000 calorie deficit every day, because any more and you're risking a metabolic slowdown that will just bring your weight loss to a screeching HALT. You want a safe, sustainable, healthy weight loss so you can really enjoy yourself!

If you burn 2600 calories, eat at least 1600.

If you burn 3000 calories, eat at least 2000.

(Oh, and be sure and get some sun before you go so you don't fry! And take a good sunscreen!)

Yay, I'm going to Hawaii for spring break too and I'm so excited! I'm glad you started a spring break post, let's motivate!

I started CC on January 6th and I've already lost 6 lbs. I want to lose 4-8 lbs more before I go. I've been swimming and doing lunges in addition to my regular workouts in order to get ready for surfing lessons...34 days left until take off! I'm hoping to start running a bit too because in this cold weather, I can't imagine anything better than running on a beach in HI.

25 y/o 5'8" 156.6 lbs... 148 lbs and Maui, here I come! Cool

thanks for the advise!
