Headache question

Quote  |  Reply

If I am experiencing headaches, what am I missing nutritionally from my diet?  (protein, ect)

(I realize it could be something else, but speaking nutrion wise, please :)  )

hmmmm....have you recently cut back on soda? Cutting out caffine can give you headaches for a while if you are used to taking in it in daily.
nope.  I usually have one cup of coffe in the morning SOMETIMES two, and I drink a good amount of water.
If they just started, it could be from seasonal allergies. I live in Missouri and have suffered from very bad headaches for the past 7-10 days. (I know that they are from my allergies)

There is some evidence showing that Magnesium can treat some migraine sufferers.  So it's possible that a Mg deficiency could cause headaches.

That said, a headache is such a non-specific symptom that even a doctor would need to know more to come up with much of a diagnosis.   He/she would likely be relying on your existing history, a list of lifestyle changes and information on the location, frequency and severity of the headache.

Sometimes you can get headaches from food sensitivities.  I can get headaches from eating certain foods.  MSG for one.
I'm having headaches and fatigue lately...hope it's not leading to something like a sinus infection...I am known to get those this time of year...hope you aren't the same way...
You're probably dehydrated, or lacking sufficient carbs
Just saw the water comment...so maybe if you recently cut back on your carbs or are under 100 grams, you are feeling it

Thought I might list some food triggers I have for headaches...maybe it might help you...however it is all conjecture.

Any artificial sweetner (sometimes changing sweetners can do this too in people less sensitive)

Any smoked or spiced meats...think bbq or luncheon meats

Red wine

Aged cheeses

Liquid smoke additive

Salted fish

 HTH!
