Did you have a lot of caffeine and suddenly cut it out? I know when people are addicted to caffeine and try to cut it from their diet, they go through withdrawals, and the headaches are horrendous.
Hi caroleanne, I have been getting bad headaches since I stated counting calories too. I have only been counting for 5 weeks now and they seem to be getting less frequent. I love your knitted hat, I have been trying to learn how to knit. Not ready to try a hat yet. I added you to my friends list, if you would like to add me that would be great. Then we can chat through diet logs. Hope someone else has some info. on the headaches.

I have the same problem, it is usually when I eliminate sweets from my diet. I am sweet coholic.
I've lived with migraines my entire life - so you have my sympathy. I have learned through the years headaches can be triggered by lots of things. Make sure you are keeping hydrated - lots of water. Caffiene, chocolate, peanuts are some of the more common culprits as well as stress:) Also - I find that if I eat 4-5 smaller meals a day it helps. If it keeps up - be sure to ask your doctor.
thanks for all the good advice I did quit coffee rather aburptly, and that may be part of the problem.
caffine actually has some of the same withdrawal simptoms as other heavier drugs...thats where the headache comes in, because it is a sitmulant. not everyone gets them but a lot do. Another thing is not eating enough food. when i was in the 10th grade i thought i was so fat at 105 pounds (5'4'') and i thought i'd "starve" myself and become anorexic to loose that fat...(what a retard!) after the 3rd day i got the worse headache in the world and it continued for one mroe day till i decided to eat a real meal. Oh what a difference it made. You might be cutting too many calories and your body is not use to it. maybe you should try to eat something or increase the cal. intake a little. it should help...good luck
I got headaches when I quit drinking all the soda I used to drink. I still have my coffee in the morning. It's just one of those bad habits I don't want to give up.
i understand i'm the same way...mainly for me it just tastes soooo good. but coffee is not bad only like 10 cal. just don't add too much cream and sugar
Oh this is weird I have been getting major headaches to but I never did caffine so its not that.. Its begining to bother me alot as they have lasted nearly a month...any ideas really appreciated..my addy is on my profile...
I don't drink caffine either, so it's not from that?

Hi,
I have been counting cals and exercising since Feb 9th. I know when my cal intake isn't enough because I start getting a headache. I am 5ft9, and started out at 230lbs. I am now down to 218lbs. On days that I'm so busy that I hardly eat, I get a pretty good headache. I think our bodys telling us something. After a few weeks of exercising and cal counting, the majority of cravings went away. I actually feel guilty when I eat. So I think your body might be telling you to not over due it!
