You can definitely get headaches when you haven't eaten enough, but generally you will also feel dizzy. I think it has something to do with iron depletion. It's a good idea to take a multi vitamin. Cutting out caffeine can also be the cause. When I gave up Mountain Dew I thought my head was going to explode. If it's the caffeine a piece of chocolate will help, but the headaches will pass after a week two.
i found out that i got headaches when i was cutting down caffeine - in fact i drank so much of it at one time - when i went cold turkey i had the shakes, sweats and terrible migraine type headaches.
now i hardly touch the stuff - maybe one a day if that - but if i drink too much now - not many bars sell caffeine free diet coke - it gives me hangover type symptons.

That could be attributed to alot of factors.
Definitely if you are not eating enough hunger could be shown through headaches rather than stomach pangs. I know that happens to me.
Also, the summer heat and being dehydrated.
Eating alot of junk food and not enough fruit.
Or it could just be caffeine withdrawal.
But I know that when I get headaches it is always because I am not doing something right to my body. Like, not sleeping enough. But if they persist despite changing into healthier habits definitely go see the doctor because it might be something more serious.
