I can relate on the ER bills too. They're starting to come in from Dh's stay. Now those are scary! Lol
My dh has a habit of being a home-body. He gets into the idea of doing things when I bring outings up but when it comes down to actually doing he always decides he'd rather stay home. I really do just need to start planning as if he isn't coming with. It would save me a lot of grief.
Well, I jumped on the scale and nothing. No real movement, I'm still up. *sigh* So much for getting back down in time for Thursday. D'oh!! I'm not going to beat myself up. I'll keep on with what I'm doing and come new year I'll go gung ho crazy with tracking my foods. I think I may join you on a short fasting Kt. BUT, I don't know if I'd have the willpower to do it before the holidays are over. Lol I definitely think I'll be doing one though.
Oh, and I did pick up those popcorn seasonings after all. I got nacho cheese flavor, garlic & herb, and butter. None were more than 5 cals and they varied in sodium between 50-70grams. That's about the same as the hot sauce I use so...I'll let you know how they taste. While I was at BB&B I got a great deal on a couple end tables (for the living room). A set of 2 for $99, plus I had a 20% coupon...yeah babeee!!! We've been using trays; buh bye trays!!!

val, i'm still up too. I've been at 184 all week. I'm kinda resigned to it lol. But I figure I can at least work my butt off at the gym. I'm seeing more muscle definition in my arms lately. So I figure if I stick with the nrolfw I had better see some results soon.
We had a little potluck at work today. I had like 5 chips w/ dip, muddy buddies (you guys might call it puppy chow lol), a tamale, ambrosia salad, lumpia, and peach cobbler. I didn't eat nearly as much as I normally would so I was happy about that. Then i went to the gym and did my weights, then about 50 min on the treadmill. Felt pretty good!
Tomorrow my family is going out for a walk/jog in the morning. Not sure what else we'll do before dinner at 4. I'm going to try and use as much restraint as possible!

o boy o boy. I feel huge! I counted up my cals and it looks like I was about 3000-3500 cals. Kinda not as bad as I thought. I did a 3 miler this morning and ran for about 2 miles of it. so it looks like I'm over by about 1000 cals or so today. I plan on eating very little tomorrow! Lunch is salad. I am debating whether I will get up early to buy a luggage set for my fiance for christmas. I could go on my lunch as well, which is really whatI will probably do to avoid insanity at 6am. I know tomorrow will be a long day at work. I'm going to try and keep busy so I won't eat. If I do eat, it will be cottage cheese and yogurt. Good filling food but low cal. I'm also going ot the gym after work. My shins are sore so I might not be able to run much, but I'll do what I can to make myself feel less guilty!

I guys! I just wanted to let you all know that I had my little boy on Saturday via C-Section because I just wouldn't dialate past 4 cm:-( I am happy to have him in my world! I topped at 245 lbs (gaining only 32lbs total). I had a lot of water retention that I got rid of and hopefully, my weight loss continues! I am sad I wont be able to work out as soon as I had hoped but I am aiming for January and if not January, February! I am still creating my goals but I am happy to be back in action, at least with monitoring what I eat and when! I have to stay healthy for my little guy! Plus I am breastfeeding and that alone burns 500 calories at least! :-) I miss you all!!

well i did well on friday. just a maple donut in teh am, a salad for lunch, then a piece of pumpkin pie for snack (the girl i work w/ brought some back from home when i told her i was sad we didnt have any). of course, then we had mexican for dinner. i did ok today. had mcdonald's for lunch (900 cals), then nothing until dinner which was spaghetti (about 1.5 cups w/ turkey meat) and ice cream for dessert. So I think still about 2000 cals for the day. I weighed 183 this morning, but htat was at 10am when i normally weigh at about 6:30. But maybe it's a good sign. I took yesterday and today off from the gym. I still worked out 4 days this week so i'm okay with that. I'll hit the gym on monday again.

CONGRATULATIONS ASHLEY!!!! Are you going to post pictures anywhere? Aw, I bet that little guy is so cute! Don't forget to give yourself some adjustment time with him too. You're going to find you'll be losing a lot of time just staring at him while he sleeps.

Kt, you sound like you did WAY better than I did. And you even had the bravery to count it?? Heck, I didn't even bother. I have to get back to my exercises today too. I started off this morning with crunches. Tonight I have to do it all, treadmill and weights. I have a lot of catching up to do for sure now!!!![]()

i only counted the cals b/c there was a thread and I was curious. So I added what I coul dand added about anothe r1000 cals just to be safe. I was kinda surprised that it wasn'tthat bad either. I guess it's because there wasn't any food that I was super excited about.
I"m so excited! I finally got back down to 183 today! I hope that keeps going down. I am starting to see some changes now that I"m doing the nrolfw. My triceps are definitely more defined. My stomach doesn't seem quite as bad. It is basically "flat" but I have that stupid part right at my belly button that hangs over my pants. If that was gone, I would be happy. I've heard that stage 2 of teh program is better for actual fat loss. I will start that the week after next so hopefully that starts melting the pounds away! I would like to be under 180 by christmas, then 175 by february. seems manageable to me.
My main motivation is coming b/c i have found some dresses i really like on davids bridal's website that i really like and wnat to try on. I just really want them to look good and I think we might go start looking around february. yay!

That's great you are seeing your results finally!! I'm excited for you too!!! Now let me ask you...is the NROLFW a video and a book or is it one or the other? Hmm...and the hanging of the belly thing...is it like the leftover from a muffin top? I thought we spoke about that before but I don't remember for sure.
Um...as far as my workout last night...I did workout. I wouldn't say it was a good workout though. My Ipod was completely dead right off the bat so I did the treadmill for a half hour (mostly brisk walking) and then I did weights just a little. I don't feel as bloated today as I felt all weekend at least.
nrolfw is just a book. There is a very detailed part in the back of the book that explains each exercise w/ pics and everything.

It's like the rest of my stomach has evened out but this one part! it's almost like it's trying to cover up my belly button. ugh i hate it!

That is funny about the Ipod. I have a very hard time keeping a rythmn to my running without music. I need my music to wake to, to clean to, to drive to, at work, and to workout to. Yup...I blame my mom. ![]()
I mostly walked for about 45 minutes...I ran during the TBL commercials. Then I did the rowing part of the bowflex and some upper body weights and crunches on my ball. I'll do leg weights maybe tonight. We'll see if I get too tipsy at my work's Christmas luncheon today...in about an hour from now. I can't wait!! I love steak and that's where the luncheon is; a steakhouse. Yeah!! I get to blow off half of today's work day!!

I decided to skip the owrkout tonight. I was just way too tired. Plus I kinda figured that when I took 3 full days off last weekend and ate crap, my weight went down. So it probably wont' do me any harm, right? I'll be off tomorrow as well b/c i'm having dinner w/a friend. Friday I think i'll do a spin class. I haven't done one in a long long time so it should be interesting. Hopefully that will give me some weight loss!!!

The luncheon was delicious!! I lucked out a little with it because I don't like the appetizers they order...all seafood. I don't like seafood much besides fish sticks and tuna. I found I don't even like albacore tuna. Lol D'oh!! So when I tell people the seafood I will eat they tease me with "That's not real seafood!" Ah, but I did have a few margaritas and a shot of tequila. ![]()
I had a good workout last night. I ran/walked 5 miles. I burned about 500 cals. I was happy. The scale didn't share my happiness but WHAT-E-VER! I'm still at 176. I plan on doing the treadmill again tonight but I am going to use the crossbars this time so I can get some muscle workout on my arms and torso.
How long has it been since you did a spin class? That burns a lot of cals! Hey, so do you workout at a Bally's gym? I heard on the news that they went bankrupt!! I hope, if you do belong to it, that you don't get affected. And I was wondering...do you have the clothing store DOTS by you? I got a 20% coupon I can email you if you do. It's for 12/8-12/11. I like their clothes...they have some give in the butt area and I can use that give. I have a hard time at places like Old Navy because they think woman don't have the hourglass going on or something. Lol

Colin's thumb is actually looking a lot better now... it's finally not an "open" wound anymore and you can actually tell it's healing!! He still won't look at it though... sheesh!!

val, 5 miles is really good. I haven't worked out since tuesday's soccer game and have gone down on teh scale. So i think my issue has been my muslces retaining water b/c as soon as i do a lift day, my weight jumps up again. i'm under 185 again, but not by much! i'm wondering what it will take for us to get moving down again!
i didn't get to do the spin calss tonight. I was planning on it, but when i went to change into my gym clothes, i found that i forgot my socks. yea, i'm definitely not working out w/o socks. so much for that workout! i went and ate chinese food instead lol. great tradeoff! I'm working an auction tomorrow so I'll have my food w/ me. as long as i have the food, i won't buy the junk. it will be a long day though!
o and I go to cal fit. i didn't know that bally's went bankrupt! that's too bad. and I don't think i've ever seen a dOTs around here. what kind of store is it?
