Sounds So awesome to me! I may cancel my gym membership and just use my resources around the house.  DF and i thought we could save the money toward a gym membership and get an elliptical.  We want to eventually have a home gym, so if we save up for the pieces, then that can happen :-)  Have you heard of the 30 day shred?  I am going to be doing that interchangeably as well... I have heard nothing but rave reviews of it!  I hear for 20 minutes, its a full body workout!  I also want to get into yoga and pilates... They just sound relaxing.

KT come back!  I am missing you and I want to get the 411 on the wedding! :-)

Lets do July BIG ladies!

Ooh, I'd love to have an elliptical.  My basement ceiling is too low for one.  I'd be all over that otherwise!!  I've heard of the 30 day shred but I haven't tried it yet.  You'll have to tell me how it is.  Right now I'm doing my strength training by memory.  Yoga and Pilates are very relaxing but I sort of feel corny doing them too.  Maybe that's because I haven't run into a good video for them yet?  I dunno.

So I did a repeat of Monday's workout last night but I added a couple extra things to it, which added about 10 minutes.  And today, I'll be walking around like a zombie.  No lies!!!

I forgot, you asked me for my stats....well, I was lingering in the upper 170's for most of this year but when we went on vacation in June I gained and I'm now at 183-184, it keeps bouncing back and forth.  This morning was 183.4 :/  Last year I was really hoping to be in the 50's by now.  At this point I'd love to just see the lower 70's!!!

Happy 4th of July!!

I wasn't going to turn around and log my stuff from the 2nd and 3rd, but I NEED to.  I really need to be honest with myself.  Otherwise, it just won't happen, right?  Right!!

Stay safe ladies!! And wish me luck in my race this morning.

Hi B!  Welcome back!  Sounds like things are going pretty good!!  Better not tell my sisters how good your baby is... they'd be so jealous!!!

Val - how was your race???  Did you have a good 4th??  Sounds like you've got some good goals going... keep us updated!!!

So I got the new EA active game for the Wii.... I've only done Day 1 of the 30 day challenge and it totally kicked my butt!!!  I'm excited about this one... it's defintely more exercise focused than the Fit!

Hey Sheila!!  My race did NOT go so well.  Okay, let me rephrase that...my race went so nicely.  I felt like I was speeding along in comparison to previous races.  I was sure I'd have a really good finish time.  When I got online this morning I checked the race results and it lists me at 39:00 minutes.  I was like WTF!?!?!?!?  I just knew my time was better than that but you can't really argue with a computer.  I am debating on doing another one this coming Saturday in Oak Brook just to prove to myself that this is all a fluke.

My reasonings behind my thinking I did better than I did and felt better about my running is that when I do my treadmill workouts I am doing 5mph, with spurts of 6mph-6.2mph, whereas before I was doing 4.5mph with spurts of 5mph and sometimes 6mph.  How can I do a slower race when my regular workouts are faster?  There weren't any major hills in the race, some incline but nothing that I thought effected my speed and stamina.  You know, those inclines you barely notice.  Anyway...WHATEVER!!!  I'll have to think fast about the Oak Brook race.

I haven't heard of the EA.  Yes, you'll have to really let me know how that goes.  The Fit, I think I maxed most of it out.

Hey Ash, how's your working out going?  How are you doing on your goal so far?  How's the lil'man?

Sheila, have you heard anything from Kt on facebook?  I wonder if she's scrambling trying to get the last of her wedding stuff done.  I'm sure she's stressed as all heck.

How was your 4th of July ladies?

Im here Im here!  I have been SO busy at work this week I haven't been able to log on!  LOL I have been doing well :-)  I get in walks and what not when I can with little man but I think financially i am going to have to cancel my gym membership... It isn't feasible right now but later on down the road I might be able to do it again.  Luckily I have you all to hit up about working out at home and doing fun things!

Fourth was so much fun :-)  I will post pictures of little man soon :-)  Gotta run I will post later tonight

Hello Friends!  I promised I would write later so here I am :-)

I have been doing okay.  Not great not horrible.  i have been keeping mental notes on my eating but exercise is so much more difficult with working around a child's schedule.  It is something I am working on.  I did make it to the gym today.  I did 30 minutes on the elliptical machine at resistance 8!  I was sweating like a maniac!  Today was cheeseburger Sunday so I did have McDonalds but that will be it for the fast food this week.  I went to the grocery store and bought groceries to eat healthy this week.  I am going to be going to the gym this week in the mornings when I don't take Ethan to daycare and in the evenings on the days I do.  I love working out in the morning and getting off to a good start.  I was just thinking that I need to fit into a wedding dress in exactly 11 months from today and I would like to be between 165-175 by then.  TOTALLY doable!  How was everyone's weekend?  Mine went by too fast :(

I am thinking about doing the 30 day shred tonight!

Hey Ash!  I'm glad to see you back.  I've been doing ok too, like you...not great but not horrible.  I did pretty good with exercise on Saturday.  That was mainly because a neighbor took Lil'V with their kids to a sprinkler park.  Dh and I took total advantage and went for a long, hard bike ride.

I hate what weekends do to my eating habits.  I cannot believe I have not figured out how to handle that after all this time.  Some weekends are better than others but lately they all seem to be filled with too much temptation.

When I weighed myself on Friday I was still in the same range...183-184.  Only this time it was 184.  Argh!!  My heart doc's appt is next week Tuesday and I wanted to be in the 170's for that...to show that I was able to at least maintain for the year.  Yep, that does NOT look like it's going to happen. I hope he's not as disappointed as I am.

How awesome that DH and you got out and did some exercise together.  I dont like working out with anyone when I work out because I am so focused! haha

We should do a challenge again.  We should start out and get ourselves back on track through that.  I loved participating in challenges with you all.  i was so motivated and it really helped that I had others who I talked with and competed with in a good sense.  Other challenges I participated in no one really got into them like we all did together!  Anyway, just a thought.

I don't do well on the weekends so much either.  Every sunday is cheeseburger sunday so having a regular cheeseburger isn't horrible, its the fries! 500 calories for one things of fries is CRAZY!  Anyway, we just have to go in moderation...

I think if you work super hard, limit soda intake (if you drink it) and really work out this week, I think you could be in the 170's again.  I mean, he is going to be impressed that you are doing well and everyone fluctuates, as long as you don't let it get out of control you will be fine.  Just think, 2 years ago you were in the 200's and he was worried for you, now he is going to be proud that you are taking care of your health!

I completely agree about the fries!!  I keep frozen fries in the house so I can bake them but sometimes it's just so much easier to ask for the fries with whatever else you're having.  Stupid easiness!!!  Lol

I would say ok with the challenge but it looks like it's mostly just you and I.  As far as other challenges on here...I totally agree with you on that too!!!  People are all gung ho the first day and after that...nothing.  It's very disappointing.  I'm sure that has a lot to do with my doing the 5k races.  It brings out the competative side of me and even though the person I'm competing against knows nothing about my slow butt trying to catch up to or stay in sync with them, it still drives me to push myself.  In my last race I lost sight of the girl I was trying to keep up with somewhere in the last quarter mile.  I couldn't make my legs move faster to try to catch her either.  But let me tell you, I sure did try!!!

As far as our personal challenge Ash...I'm at 598 minutes for the month so I'm doing ok with being fairly in sync with time.  I need to stay focused and maintain my exercise pace for another couple weeks.  Yikes!!!

OMG things have been MONDO crazy!!!!!!  So sorry to be MIA!!!  Not much time... but Val... still waiting for you to jump on the facebook bandwagon!!!  There's a description and pics of my vacation on there!!!!!!

Hopefully I'll have time to catch you up on everything soon!!!  Hope you're doing awesome!!!

Oh and I don't know if KT has been in... but she's a married lady now!!!  (Again you'd know that if you were on facebook  Tongue out)!!  Come on... everyone's doing it!!  Lol!!

hello hello!!! I've missed you guys! Things have been insane. But I'm sorry I haven't been in here!

Updates....wedding was great, honeymoon was even better, especially since I managed to not gain any weight on the cruise! We are in escrow on a house and will close on Nov 13th if all goes smoothly. Yesterday was supposed to be my first half ironman triathlon, but it ended up being a duathlon because the fog was too heavy to do the swim. So I'm incredibly super bummed about that and really sad I trained for soooo long this year and still didn't finish a half ironman. Now I have some friends who want me to train with them so they can start doing triathlons next year so that will be a lot of fun. Now that the race season is over, I can start to focus on strength training again and losing weight.

How have all of you been? Val, I've missed you! I at least get little updates from Sheila and Ash on FB, but I want to know how you're doing!

Well, I promise I am going ot try and be on here more frequently, if for no other reason than to keep up with you guys! :)
