I'm a losing machine now that I started really focusing on the safe deficits.  I think I am starting to believe all those scientists saying it's all a matter of science!  Lol  I'd be more than happy to send you my spreadsheet that I've been using to help me understand what I'm doing. 

I am worried that you want to do a drastic thing like fast. 
chris- the hardest part of quitting smoking for my b/f was breaking the habit of having a cig. he enjoyed the process of smoking so that was hard for him to give up. the more you try the better you will do. it won't happen at once!

and i eat a meal twice a day. ive been trying to make sure i get something in for breakfast, but that's usually something small. and i have snakcs if i remember to bring them to work. i need to allow myself more cals for dinner b/c i can't help but hav e abigger mela then, so if i snack too much during hte day i don't have enough cals left for a good dinner.

vk- im not looking for to lose a lot fast, but i just want the losing to start again! haha it's been close to a month now since i"ve seen a real loss. The past 2 or 3 weeks though I've been hovering at the same number w/o losing. I tried the zigzagging but it didn't seem to do anything for me. I'm thinking maybe if I just go back to around 1600 cals a day it might do something. My deficits are around 1000 ( cc says i burn 2400cals and I eat around 1400) which should mean i can lose 2 pounds a week. but instead nothing is coming off. i dunno, maybe i'm worse at math than i thought! lol

ok KT, so maybe try eating 5 times a day, have breakfast, i eat a packet of high fiber oatmeal, wieght control 160 cal

should leave u enuff for a 500 or so calorie dinner or even more, depending on ehat u have left!!

what kind of deficit do u use VK, i am asking cause that is one thing i do not pay attention too
I try to stay between the recommended 500-1000 calorie deficit.  Most times I do good but like yesterday my deficit for the day was 1293.  All this includes what I'm burning w/my exercise.  Ever since the challenge though, that deficit is closer to 1000 than the 500.  Just like KT, I get scared to eat back all my calories...hence the larger deficits.  I'll stick a spoon of peanut butter in my mouth though just to do a quick cal increase without feeling like I ate too much.  Lol   It's funny because DH has come to know this move...and says something along the lines "running low on calories?" when he sees the peanut butter jar come out.  Lol!!!

Definitely try for more (smaller) meals KT.  I go through baggies now like they're going out of style!
yea vk i think the deficit thing is gonna kill me especially when i'm training more/harder. After limiting what i eat it's going ot be hard to know that i need to eat more. i guess thats why the coach doesnt want anyone dieting during training. I just need to lose at least 20 pounds before the race which is in about 10 weeks. my problem is that even when i do bring snacks to work, i forget ot eat them or its just not hwat i want to eat once im here. i was doing salads for a while but for some reason they make me gag when ieat them now so it's hard to go that route. I need to cook my lunches the night before  and bring it to work. peanut butter is a great idea though...mmm i wnat a peanut butter cookie :)
yes, there ya go eat half of ur dinner, and take the other half for lunch!!  also when at wrk keep a variety of low call smacks there, special k bars yummmmmmm  or the quaker snacks, the cinnamon struesal is delicious!!  both only 90 cal!!  i get my sweets fix!!

imma have to try p.butter, and i need to get back to drinking lots of water again been lagging in that department this week!!
Like today at work, I've gone through a baggie of grapes, a baggie of strawberries, a big orange, a 100 cal tub of pringles, and a bologna sandwich. 

I have two small apples left in my lunchbag.  One is for my ride home the other is just in case!  Lol   I almost brought a pear but there wasn't any room left in my bag!  All this is already logged and leaves me with about 600 calories for dinner unless I exercise.  I haven't even had any veggies yet either! 

Besides my orange and sandwich, everything I've eaten so far is something I can pop in my mouth and keep going....did you notice?  It's the snacker in me.  :)
that sounds good. veggies and fruits tend to go bad w/ me b/ ci don't eat them in time. ugh i need to go shopping! i don't even have any good milk at home!
are the new members still around? i haven't been getting too many numbers. remember, after tomorrow, all numbers will need to be reported to the thread b/c i will be gone

For the challange does doing a new exercise twice still count as minutes or does it have to be totally new.

well i did my 4 miles of run//walk tonight, i did the whole thing!!!!!  I walked 1 1/2 min. ran 30-45 sec, so wayyyyyyybetter than yesterday, ill just have to work through this!!!

On the smoking thing......I have only had 9 cigs today, that is better!!  But come monday imma try real real hard to stop!!!  I really wanna be able to do this 4 mile run, then i can do 5k easily in october for breast cancer, we also have an ALS run, not sure when it is, but i REALLY wanna do it, my uncle died from it, so kinda a tribute for him, and all the others that suffer from this!!

i rode my bike through downtown today. can you say SCARY???? omg! there's no real bike lane lol so i just hoped noone would hit me. it wasn't too far to ride though and it was a ncie ride. I'm hoping to ride around downtown a little more for groceries (nothign too heavy of course lol) and small things like that.
I did the Austin tape again.  By the time I found (don't know how it got misplaced) the ball dvd it was not worth looking for the damn ball!  Lol   Yep, the tape kicked my but again.  I did better keeping up with the choreography of the aerobic section.  I still had a very hard time in the same lower body exercises but didn't feel so bad about it.  I did the tape after an hour of volleyball and after helping coach the t-ball game today.  Jeez!  I've been non stop since I got off of work!  Instead of peanut butter today to do a quick boost of calories...I just guzzled a glass of milk. 

Milk...does the body good!  Shoot, it better do the body good!!!  Lol

So tonight is my real workout. Another bike/run brick. Hopefully I can keep myself from nearly passing out this time. I've got my gatorade, a snickers marathon bar, and ill be drinking lots of water during hte day so i'm ready. it's also not 100 degrees today so that will help!

chris you are leaving us this weekend too! we will both enjoy nautre together (and enjoy our drinks haha).
Sorry guys, I am still around, I just haven't had time to do any exercising this week, we've been so busy at home... Too bad running all around doesn't count for something.  I promise tomorrow I will have some numbers for you!
