Oooh...I cringed when I read that Chris. She must've been screaming from the pain! I hope she's doing better now. Ooohhhh....another cringe from me on that one!
Vk hopefully v-ball goes well and you do your thing when it comes to exercise.

ok just a quick question
I had a banana and 1 cup of oatmeal for breakfast, apple for a snack, 1/4 lemon chichen with a small greek salad and fat free dressing and about 4 mints. that brings me to a calorie count of 854. According to CC the weights this morning burned 342 calories (granted I was huffing and puffing but that seems like a lot)
It seems like I should have had more calories by now. My goal is 1800. Does that make sense? Just putting that out there for your thoughts and comments.

hey don...i've noticed that when i work out, i don't have much of an appetite. I'll come home from my workouts, not having had dinner yet, and have to force myself to eat somethin b/c it just suppresses my appetite so muhc. i mean, you shouldn't eat if you aren't hungry, but you should also make sure you get enough nutrients to sustain your activities. make sure you get more protein in so it can help your muscles build. hope that helps ( o and that does seem high for only 30 minutes of weight lifting)

I've noticed when I lift weights it has this effect but when I do cardio I am usually starving. I should take my vitamins on a regular basis and that one thing I am going to start doing. Protein fo sheezy.

Hmm, I wish I had as many calories to eat as you do for the rest of today Don! Tonite is pizza night and I have enough for 1 1/2 slices worth (after I eat my orange and cherries). I may have to take a hit! Ouch! Lol I love my pizza night. I live for my pizza night. Take away my beer but don't take away my pizza! Lol Ok, well, don't take away all my beer. LMAO!

Aw beer and beer. I'm not so big on pizza. I know weird huh. however alcohol....For a while there I thought I had a problem...not getting enough beer but I took care of that. ha j/k

Hey fellow Alchies!! Jk Don, no beer for me today, only pizza. Beer is now reserved for rare occasions. I ended up scrapping the cherries and orange which gave me enough for 2 servings of pizza. I live in Chicago and we're famous for our pizza Don. It's almost un-American around here to not like pizza. Lol
So how is everyone doing with their part of the challenge this week?

hey guys. well tonight's workout made me feel as pathetic as i could possibly feel. it's just really discouraging when people pass you on the way out and again on the way in (we did 20 minutes out, 20 in). we only did running, no bike. i don't run so i did horrible. i mean, there were women who are probably 300 pounds leaving my ass in teh dust. it should motivate me to get my butt into training but it honestly made me feel like i wanted to quit. i'm not going to, but that's how i felt. I think it's just a hard day. its hard that i couldnt come home and call my b/f to tell him how crappy it made me feel. if this is how badly i deal w/ him just being out of the country, i would probably die if we broke up. so im probably going to end up spending hte rest of hte night crying some more (im so pathetic today i know).
as far as teh challenge goes, i've been doing okay, not having more than around a 100 cal difference. today i'm over 200 cals so far but i'm still at a 1500 cal deficit. tomorrow we are going to swim in open water so i will likely be eating over again tomorrow. sorry guys. i hope you all are doing a little better than me! :)

Sorry i wasnt on much yesterday, i took the kids to meet my stepmom, got home around 5ish, cooked dinner, hung out with hubby!! The rain just never stopped yesterday...im tired of it i need sunshine!!
Ended up going to the gym, which i needed, did 34 min on the treadmil, at various speeds from 3.8-4.7, i hae the treadmill it is so boring.....did 40 min of weight lifting, did 10 on the bike, 10 on the eliptical so i felt greaat when i got home!!
Well then i got on the scale this morning, and it still says 195 OMG, this is frustrating me!!! Well maybe tomorrow, i havent eaten bad at all, so i really think i may have his that plateau, well it is about TOM so maybe that is it!! We will see tomorrow!!
Vanessa's foot still hurts her, she is worried awwwwww how cute, i thhink she is just afraid to do something to it and have to o back for more novicaine shots lol I told her not to worry Jenny will be down there and she is a nurse(my sister in law) and would look after her FOOT!!

Kt don't feel...well at least try your best not to. You don't know how long those other people have been training, regardless of their weight. Your right it was a tough day for you but you should feel good that you did train despite that fact.
I did well yesterday with the challenge. I was only over by 37. That is including one beer I had while I grilled up dinner.
Hey Val, yeah I guess living in Chi town would make it a must for the pizza. Don't get me wrong I enjoy a great pie but it is not one of the things on my must have list. That is reserved for BEER, ice cream, and pupusas (salvadorian food)

Man, it looks like I'm in a group of runners. Yeah, you too KT. I don't care how slow you were, rest assured, you were definitely faster than I would've been! Don is right, you don't know how long or hard the other people have been training. Wouldn't it be something if the bigger chick is part of Chris' "Couch to 5K" group! :)

Chris, I bet your TOM has a lot to do with the non-budging scale. I'm sure it doesn't help that if you're sticking to your calorie limit and all the exercise your doing, your body is probably hanging onto more than it normally would.
I was worried about that happening to me too so I haven't done much exercising Wed and Thurs. I think this week's challenge, the way its setup is very counter-productive. I strongly believe it should allow us to account for our exercises.
And Chris-WOW, you went from 1.25 packs to how many!?!?!? That is fabulous!!! Ooh, the withdrawals you must've been going through...and probably still are. {{hugs}} I definitely feel for you.

I'm 'here' .... thanks for thinking of me ... been busy this week, so not much posting (been catching up on the posts so I know where ya'll are at)
I'm at the same weight as last week ..... I guess that's a good thing since I was up 2 lbs a few days ago ..... just wanted to go DOWN some more. I'll try to do better next week ...
I LOVE you guys !! You are SO encouraging to one another .... (and me of course)
BTW .... I DIDN'T GET ANY OF THE RAIN AT MY HOUSE !!! :-(
Must be the case had a hole in it Chris ...... it was a weird day for rain around here on Wednesday ..... we were about 20 miles away from home at my daughter's softball game when the sky OPENED UP!!! Oh YES WE WERE WET ... BUT IT WAS WONDERFUL!! ... but then got home and we STILL had the dry/cracked ground ..... my lawn looks TERRIBLE (and I'm REAL fussy how my lawn looks) .....
Val - next time you have rain over there, make sure it comes NE across the lake... ok ?? lol
My daughter had another softball game last night (they were in tournaments) ... played a team that hadn't lost (this was for first place), they were a head by 12 runs by the 3rd or 4th inning, then they ended up losing by 1 run !! They really played GOOD ball. I was proud of her/them.
Chris - I sure hope your daughter's foot is much better .... I KNOW how much foot pain hurts ... can't imagine having something stuck in it to the bone ...... gives me the 'willies'
Katie - keep up the training girl .... we are ROOTING for you !! ***WOOOHOOO KATIE GO*** Before you know it your b/f will be home and you'll be SOOOO sexy for him :-)
