Does anybody know what the recommended mix of calories should be for an active person?  My first day using Calorie count ended up with 30% fat, 20% proteins and 50% carbs.  I have no idea is that is good or bad.

I think every person is different and you have to find what works best for you.  Personally I try to stay with 45-50% carbs, and split the rest slightly more protein then fat.  That is while I train for a marathon.  I know other runners that keep their carbs closer to 60%, while others go with a 40-30-30.  I guess you have to find out what works for you to give you the energy you need while not leaving you bloated feeling.  Good luck!!

so far I have found that for my weight I feel pretty good if I try to get a 100 grams of protein everyday.  I'm trying to stay around 2,200 calories so that means my typical day is about 20% protein, 25% fat and 55% carbs.  A fairly large challenge is getting enough protein without getting it from sources high in fat.  I'm learning to like fish!!
