Healthy Calories vs. Junk Calories
Okay so I left school early today because I was feeling sick...so what do I do? Go to Jack in the Box and get a bacon cheeseburger with fries. OMG.
So anyways...I have like 200-400 calories left (depending on if I exercise) for the whole day and it is only 11:35 am. Not the point though.
The food was soooo greasy and all junk. But I was wondering if I will still lose weight if I stay under my calories even if I probably went over my fat...I am not advocating this eating style at all.
Just wondering though. Maybe just to ease myself. I know "don't beat yourself up" and "do better tomorrow", I just want an answer. Thanks.
Sodium will be your direct enemy on this one -- if you stay under your maintenance calories you won't gain "fat" -- however if you weigh yourself in the morning you may find more pounds -- this would be from all the extra sodium in a fast food meal.
drink lots of water (but not all at once), eat normally, and don't worry about it
Thank you both. I think I will stay away from the scales for a couple of days.
I think I am going to eat fruit and veggies that are lowest in cals for the rest of the day. I will probably end up going a little over, but not too much. Still though! I really should have known better than to stop there...and get the BACON CHEESEBURGER out of all things!
fat doesnt make you fat.
sugar, calories, do.
Your body converts sugars carbs, calories( yeah energy)
into more broken down sugars. This is not fully used up gets stored as fat.
If you eat less that you require you lose fat. Unless your body goes into starvation mode... (another subject though)
No it wont make you fat, but it is not good to eat lots of junk food. Jack and the box has a history of food poisoning and deaths. (google it i swear)
Due to e colli
it's all about calories in vs. calories out when it comes to weight loss. you can eat 1200 calories of whole grains, lean meats or emat alternatives, low-fat to no-fat dairy and tons of fruits and veggies and lose the same amount of weight you would if you ate 1200 calories worth of burgers, fries, chips, candy, soda and brownies.
don't beat yourself up over one bad day, you can always do better tomorrow.
Why should I gain weight if I'm not significantly underweight?
Actually, at 5 feet 5.25 inches and 96 - 98 pounds, your weight is below the healthy weight range for your height and age. There are... Read more
