Does anyone know of a really healthy, high-fibre, low-sugar, low-sodium cereal out there?
Preferably one that tastes decent?

kashi go lean protein cereal. i love to snack on it throughout the day, too (w/o milk).
I just bought General Mills Fiber One Honey Clusters, It's really high in fiber, and it tastes pretty good also.
I've been wondering this as well.  I just stick to the Fiber 1, but its not the best tasting.  I mix it into things - it is good for the fiber though.  I was looking for something around the 140-150 cal range for a cup, but also filling, haven't really found anything yet.  I don't eat it for breakfast, just as a snack.
Cheerios work for me.  150 cal for 1.5 cups.  I usually eat them mixed with yogurt (120 cal) for a filling breakfast of 270.
Vive cereal!!

the bestt! its honey vanilla flavor?? i think..something like that ;)

well for 1 and 1/4 cups its 170 cals and 2.5 grams of fat but 12 grams of fiber! it keeps me full and you get a good serving of it. most cereals are just 3/4 cup :(

i got some at the health food store but then i found it at wal mart too..crazy

but yea. its great.

Just found out Kashi and Vive are produced by the same company. OK I'll try it next time, kashi seems pretty high in fiber and protein too.

I'm eating All-Brun Buds, it's very high in fiber, but taste terrible. My chin got sour from chewing it...
the Kashi GoLean Crunch has 13grams of sugar, is that bad? i think it's naturally sweetened though...
Personally, I don't like Fibre One.

Kashi Go Lean Crunch and the Kashi cereal with strawberries in it are great. I just tried Nature's Path Flax Plus cereal this morning. It was ok. I love their granola bars and oatmeals too.
heh kashi go lean crunch is naturally sweetned, with sugar.

Evaporated cane juice crystals is a healthy way of covering up sugar.
Ok, there's also All Bran Buds but since the serving size is only 1/3 cup (which gives you 12g of fibre), it's not satisfying enough for a meal. It's great mixed in yogurt though.

Oh! Also, All Bran Guardian or Honey flakes (can't remember the name) cereals.

As you can tell, I love cereal for breakfast!

Oatmeal.
Uncle Sam -- lots of fiber and (almost better) flax seed (with healthy omega-3).

I prefer unsweetened cereal, but a touch of splenda/sugar won't go awry with this cereal.  And it's filling
Personally, I eat regular old store-brand bran flakes with either some cinnamon or unsweetened cocoa powder sprinkled on. Not only is it cheap (usually 1.99), but it has very few ingredients other than wheat bran, is 90 calories per 3/4 cup, has 5g fiber (more if you add cinnamon or cocoa!), very little sugar, and has lots of vitamins and minerals.
I second the store-brand bran flakes.  I practically live off of them.  They're enriched and have tons of nutrients.  Plus they're lower calorie and lower fat than all that Kashi and Special K stuff people are always going on about.  I'm actually eating some as we speak :)
If you don't like Fiber One or bran flakes, Shredded Wheat, Weetabix, or Shreddies are good. Though, if you ask me, you can doctor up ANY chereal to taste ok.
I love the Kashi cereals. My favorites are Autumn Wheat and Cinnamon Harvest, both shredded wheat type cereals, and Heart To Heart, which is a crunchy oat type. I liked the taste of Go Lean Crunch, but I found it hard on my system for some reason. The others I mentioned have a good amount of fiber and are low in sugar and sodium.
wow seeeing all these Kashi posts makes me want to try it myself! i usually eat cheerios or crispex. i add blueberries usually so get mu fruit in at the same time though i am not a big fruit fan i force it down.
I finally broke down and bought some Kashi Go Lean Crunch today. It had a flavour that reminded me of puffed rice, but it was pretty good. I was glad it didn't taste too sweet. For me "too sweet" stuff triggers indiscriminate eating.

It only had 190 calories per cup which is good, so I'll have it a few times a week instead of muesli.
im a huge fan of arrowhead mills 4 grain hot cereal.

It has cracked wheat, cracked oats, rye meal and cracked barley with whole flax seed.

Its wonderful with honey and fresh berries.

it has 140 calories per serving and over 10 g grams of fiber.
Oat meal or Post Honey Nut Shredded Wheat.  It has natural sugars and almonds along with whole wheat.  It is about 200 calories per cup but with 1% it isn't that bad.
