Healthy, crunchy, low cal snacks HELP
Good Morning,
My biggest issue is snacking. Due to previous stomach surgery I was advised to greatly limit typical low cal snacks such as popcorn and crackers, but I crave that "crunch". Some raw veggies are too hard on my stomach as well and I was just wondering if anyone had any low cal, tasty, crunchy snack ideas??
Thank you!!!

Hmmm... that's a tough one... my favorite snacks are: pistachios (great for a perk-up in the afternoon), all natural apple sauce, no sugar added peaches, Goldfish crackers, bananas, apples, dum-dum suckers, fruit snacks, and the 100 calorie Reese's wafers (got 'em at Target... love 'em!)... I love the crunch too, so that would be a hard one! Let me know if you come up with anything good!
I have almonds and cashew nuts. Rice crackers, rice wafers. Also pretzels (not the bread kind the hard kind) can be quite low in cals but are high in sodium (salt). Carrots from the refridgerator are nice and crunchy. Crispbreads.
Thats all I can think of so far....
Thank you for the suggestions. I am still looking for crunchy snacks I can have. I have to limit the crackers (I love rice crackers) so that is hard for me. And some other great "crunchy" snacks such as carrots, apples, raw broccoli, celery, etc. are too hard on my stomach. I even have to be carefuly of any nuts!! *pulls out hair*.
So I am still looking and if I find anything, I will be sure to post it as other "crunchy snackers" I am sure will find it useful.
Im off to search some more!! ...
what about cereal? cereal is fantastic to snack on, and some can be very crunchy.. but only about 110 cals in a serving...
Here in Florida, I love to freeze my grapes! There a great way to cool off after exersize & 1/2 cups of grapes is only 80 calories.
