What is a healthy drink other than water?
Asked by kristinmiller on Oct 21, 2009 in Nutrition

I am only trying to lose about 5-8 pounds. I am 5'4" and 127 currently. I have totally cut out my sugar sweetened tea addiction and have switched to water. What are some alternatives that are low calorie, healthy and not empty calories (I do not like milk to drink).

Answer

Other than water, people choose the following no-calories and low-calorie beverages: sparkling mineral water (unflavored, with or without a splash of juice), flavored sparkling water unsweetened or artificially sweetened, zero-calorie beverages like diet soda, Crystal Light and sugar-free iced tea, the various no-calorie "energy-waters", hot coffee, tea and broth, and flavored waters that you make at home, like Sassy Water - which isn't magic but sure tastes good!
