Recipe Ingredients for Healthy SOS

8 oz sausage
4 cups skim milk
2 cups water
2/3 cup flour
2 tbs Worcestershire sauce
1 pepper to taste

Recipe Directions for Healthy SOS

  1. Break sausage apart & brown in a skillet. Drain well.

  2. Put 2 cups very warm water In a quart jar with tight fitting lid. Add the flour, close jar tightly, shake 2 or 3 times over sink, open lid to let off pressure, replace lid tightly and shake jar 1 minute or more to combine completely. Add to browned sausage & stir constantly.

  3. As mixture starts to thicken, add remaining ingredients and continue cooking until boiling (bubbles can not be stirred down) Cook 1 more minute. Remove from heat.

  4. Serve over toast or biscuits.
