Heart rate monitor/calories burned

Hello all! 

The heart rate monitor I have only does just that, it does not calculate calories burned.  Looking to buy a new one.  What do you guys use?  Are you happy with it?  Does it have a chest strap?  I was looking on ebay and some of them say that it calculates based on average age, weight and sex.  Does that mean that you cannot input your weight and it bases off of an average?  Just looking for one that will give me accurate calories burned for my body size.

I have a Polar F11 and think it's great.  It does have a chest strap, unfortunately, but I think they are more accurate that way.  I use mine for swimming, biking, walking.

It will calculate your calories burned, the percent of fat calories (based on your intensity level), it keeps track of your workouts and your trends, etc .... I probably paid too much ($145) but I think it was worth it

I have the Polar F6 and I'm very happy with it. :) You can usually find them on ebay for a little cheaper.

i have 2 polar monitors.

F4 (i use for swimming)

F6 (I use for all other exercise)

They both have chest straps and comfortable!

I have a Polar F11 and I find it invaluable.

I told myself if I worked out 30 days I could get a Polar F4! Funny, shopping motivates me and I only have 5 more days to go:) The cheapest i have found is on overstock...

I also have an F6.

You enter your body stats into the wristwatch portion so the calculations are customized for you.

What's the difference between the F6 and the F11?  I am thinking about getting one as well.

I would go to the polar website they have side by side comparisons of all their models what each one does and doesn't do and also explains what the different functions are. 

I've had my F11 for years and highly recommend it
